Your request WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED until and unless you have a convert..
That group is for the joinees.... so once you have converted your call... you will be able to access that group...

This might be over the top, but would it be possible for seniors to find out about the preferences of those students who have converted through the Facebook group? They could run a poll or have a status asking their preferences. Since almost all of the converts will be accessing the group, we will get a much more realistic picture about the possible movement than we can get by running a spread-sheet or a poll here.
There might of course be limitations which make this impossible. This is just a suggestion and I hope it isn't out of line

Well that FB group is managed and maintained by the aspirant relations team...
The whole intention of that group is onboarding so that aspirants get accustomed and familiar with what is going to happen over the next two years....
Do not think that your advice will be taken by them as that is not the motive...

If you were on the wait-list as per the first declaration (on 21st Feb), you should be able to see your current wait-list status in the same way you accessed it the first time.
If you were rejected during first declaration, then you won't see any difference until and unless the current wait-list clears. You can't actually see a list of students anywhere. Just your own status on the list (i.e. if you are selected or wait-listed).

On 2nd April, the waitlist got cleared till 49.The next movement will be on 12th April...There were 105 members approximately in the waitlist declared on 21st Feb.

Many of my friends at TIME who got calls from new IIMs, were inclined to go for them if they got in. Many for whom, the IIM brand name matters the most, might go. Many others wouldn't. (I personally did not apply - I would have received a call if I had, I guess).
I think you could keep up hopes. But it's a long, long wait. No solid ideas will emerge, at least until mid-May:thumbsup:

In less than one day? Fat chance. Gotta wait till the movement after tomorrow. However, we can expect some other IIMs to declare their results by then too.
