THIS IS A GENERAL LIST OF THINGS WHICH I POSTED DURING MY ADMISSIONS 2 YEARS BACK....
Here it goes.. 60 things u shud get to the hostel..
1. Alarm clock (needed 2 get u up after night long party / study / "adda" / doing nothing)
2. Bedsheet / Bedcover
6. Pillowcover (only if u get pillow)
3. reading lamp (in case ur room mate prefer 2 sleep early n u want 2 b awake reading)
4. Hangers (for clothes fcurz)
7. Rug(s) (totally optional.. bt helps keeping d room clean)
8. Scissors
9. Umbrella (wen it rains.. it rains bad in pune...specially lavale)
10. Pens and pencils
11. Pencil sharpener
12. Highlighters
13. Ruler
14. Calculator
15. Daily planner and/or calendar
16. Dictionary, thesaurus, writer's guide (or Google might jus b sufficient)
17. Glue
18. Paper clips
19. Stapler and staples
20. Reading Glasses (if u hv 1)
21. Towels (most important thing one needs after a bath)
22. Clothing to last until the first trip home
23. Pajamas
24. Shorts
25. Jeans and T-shirts
26. A couple of formals too.. ( i suggest 4-5 pairs)
27. Belts
28. Laundry bag or basket (needed as u wont b washin / goin 2 dhobi daily)
29. Laundry detergent (for those who prefer doing their own laundry)
30. Shoes (formal and sports)
31. Socks
32. Slippers
33. Sneakers
34. Aspirin or other pain reliever (v do hv a gud dispensary in campus and an in house doctor 2.. tis jus 4 precaution)
35. First-aid kit (like band-aid, ointments, etc)
36. Contact lenses and solutions (if u use tht is)
37. Deodorant (most important thing if u dont bath daily.. which is generally d case with most of hostelites)
38. Perfume or cologne (same reason as above.. most needed for morning session wen u jus get out of bed n run 4 classes)

40. Shampoo and conditioner
41. Hairbrush and comb
42. Hygiene items
43. Nail clippers
44. Shaving cream
45. Razors
46. Toothbrush and toothpaste
47. Can and bottle opener (well.. no points for guessin wht these wil b used for)
48. Backpack (for trip out of town..)
49. CDs and DVDs
50. External Hard disk with good collection of movies
51. Music
52. Laptop (Coll wil arrange for a bulk deal 2.. so u can get it on ur own or wait 4 d deal)
53. Deck of cards (best indoor game)
54. Extension cords (this is much needed thing)
56. Patience (things sumtimes dont jus seem 2 move no matter how hard u try)
57. Open mind
58. Sense of humor
59. A zeal for learning
60. Money for books, food, entertainment, clothing, bla bla... (Yeaahh.. thts d most important part)

People who have converted recently, can you tell me the time gap between receiving the info by e-mail and snail mail? In case I accidentally delete the confirmation e-mail, will I have time enough to pay after being informed via snail-mail?
P.S. This is just cautionary... Because we can't see public updates anymore. I don't expect to do something as careless as that.

the snail mail does come really quickly..don wry th delay shud nt b more than 2 or 3 days max...

Everyone who hasnt received pre-induction material and ID password please call IT Dept SIBM Pune and inform them(also keep the date of fee payment ready) b'coz they have a misunderstanding that they have maild theIDs and password to us already....

Ankit Desai: We understand the anxiety but unless we get the new admits list from the admiin we cannot approve new requests. We are trying to retreive the new list which might take sometime. 😃
