sorry fr adding confusion..but is d CAT percentile only criterion for calling??/ cox 99.57 something means around 2600+ general candidates...of which 2000+ would have applied..
and around 1200 calls..?? not understanding the "MATHS" here..

I know this may sound ridiculously stupid, but I had given my brother the documents to post it and he is left with a CAT score card. He is not sure if he has already mailed it. There is a possibility that this is an extra one, but it's not sure. Should I send another copy seperately by post? What should I do? I know it was carelessness on my part, but any help would be really helpful. :(

@maddy88 : the cut-off is 98.56 because only 1200+ applied above the cut-off and they want 1:12 ratio because of the ABCL and XLRI factor(which wont have any impact since lists wont be out by 18th March). Cut-off changes as per applicants na? Since application is before CAT, not everyone applies..

Since my CAT score is above 99 , can I give my criteria as General and apply to FMS? I initially applied as OBC.
@ahivarn I am not sure if it can be done ..If u already mentioned OBC while appliying..anyway u can call and confirm the same..
@ahivarn dude as an obc candidate you just have to be present , you are selected ,
and if you are not able to present your obc certi. then you should be counted as a general candidate , not sure about what fms does in this case ? but mostly they will convert you to general.

anything with respect to fms email on radar?I have not yet received any sort of email response from fms guys.Everyone's saying wait for the List they will put up on 28th feb.Now,the problem is if the list comes up and one's name is not there in the list,then i guess nothing can be done.It's final.
I can say this because the exact same thing happened with me 4 years back during DCE admission process.Actually there i had sent my proforma via fax,and also through courier although via courier it reached one day late.Now,on the day of seat allotment they put up a list of candidates and even though my name should have been 6th according to the order of merit but sadly it was missing. I then went to the VC who assured me that my candidature would be considered.So saying he gave me an enveope with a note inside and told me to give it to the admission incharge.Meanwhile the admission incharge was busy with the seat allocation procedure in the auditorium.When i gave him the note ,to my astonishment he blankly refused to consider my plea.Later on when I saw the note,this is what the vc had written:-"The shortlist is already out.I don't want to burn my fingers.It's up to you now"And there the seat was allotted to a guy further down the merit list.
This time around with FMS,it's seeming to be a repeat telecast.Though,this time I had sent my application through 4 different couriers and I have their delivery sheet proof that it was both delivered to and received by fms on 20th december.(deadline was 21st).
Bottomline:-
1)Once the shorltist is out,i guess it's final.nothing can be done if your name's not in it.so do whatever you've got to do before 28th.
2)The FMS administration is not picking up the phones.Moreover since i live far way from delhi and also have interviews lined up,so I can't personally go to delhi and sort the matter up.
3)Seniors,you are the only hope now.Tell us what's to be done.I know it's a bit taxing but there's no other way.
I hope you understand our predicament.

@atticusrose Do send in your forms latest by 28th February. Subject to verification of your CAT score and other details, all the applicants, who had applied for FMS before the CAT results, will be called for interviews. So you need not to worry about confirmation via mail.
Please do not create panic among the other applicants by such posts.

You gotta be joking!!! they will cancel the candidature---how can a person change his/her category depending on the score one gets.
