[2013-2015] FMS Delhi Discussions

@abvi no... you cant buy it online as it is a physical token. no idea about taxi ...

What all preparation r ppl doing? :O

@Shadow30 if u r arriving at T3 then there is a metro station at t3 itself, if u arrive at T1 (there is a near by station, not sure) from T3 to New Delhi station... it would take around 40 mins ...need to change from there...then from New Delhi station to Vishawvidhayala station it would take arnd 18-20 mins...from vishawvidhayalya u can take a cycle richshaw or auto rickshaw and tht would take max 10 mins. So no traffic issue while travelling via metro...and if u are really short of luck and experience technical glitch in metro(low probability) then tht wld consume couple of mins also.

Ok, I read in the thread that if i take metro i have to first take airport metro to NewDelhi then change over to a train to VishwaVidyalaya station. So is there a system of day pass wherein i can use that in the next train and even while returning that day evening?? That way i can save some time at New Delhi station by not standing in queue for ticket.

@abvi airport line is completely isolated from rest of metro network. so it have diferent ticketing system and al. i guess u can buy different round ticket for airport line and ndls-vishw respectively. during my couple of journey via airport line...nvr experienced any queue for tickets...so dont worr...u wld get a queue at new delhli station...but would take max 5 mins...so dont worry. :)
@Jaspreet04 i believe you can buy a smart card if u find the queue really long. when i bought it few years back...they used to have a different queue to buy that ...not sure what they do now days.

@abvi anytime! 😃 what are u ppl studying? :O

you can get more info about metro from here

Just remember guys metro station is at T3 and not T1-D, but (not sure) I think there are buses which ply between T1-D and T3 or take a cab from T1-D to T3.

You need to board from IGI Airport to New Delhi station (this is orange line)
Then from New Delhi to Vishwavidyalaya (Delhi University) (this is yellow line)

You will have to change the train but the same ticket will work, so do not exit the station, just follow signs/directions or ask the guards

I hope this helps you all. All the best.

@Jaspreet04 Just covering Qs that can come based on my job profile, acads, GK. Trying to cover some topics that may come for extempore, like my college name, place i come from (Bangalore), color of my shirt I am gonna wear that day 😁 ( I know its weird , but i heard that people get such topics 4 extempore)..

@chunkey you'll be boarding the yellow line metro towards jahangirpuri. just get down at the station Viswavidyalaya, its 3rd or 4th last station. its going to be a long ride so make sure you start well in advance and get yourself a seat. from the metro take a rickshaw for FMS or Kirorimal college . atb!!! :)
@all thread for sharing GD/PI experience?

I have a few queries:

Regarding extempore, what do the panel actually look for? Is it more of the content and how we relate it to something else? or is it the fluency?
Also, do we need to conclude the extempore in a minute, are points deducted if the panel asks us to stop?

Secondly, in the earlier gd pi threads, puys have mentioned that they were asked on stuff related to themselves? So I was wondering are we suppose to fill a form over there?
How will FMS get to know about our extracurriculars and stuff??

My flight will land in Delhi at 9:50 PM on 19th. From there how can I go to Kamala Nagar, Kashmiri gate? How much time it will take? From Kamala Nagar how can I reach the campus to attend the interview process? TIA

@agasthya I think we all should camp at FMS from the night before our gdpi rounds 😛 just like roadies :gm:
