Didnt make it after a good extempore and a good PI....99.71...good acads....2.5 years wor-ex....NIT....speak english well.....not even the waitlist of 200 odd people....shocked is an understatement....

now when waiting list in general moves, more obc's will be transfered to general so waiting list will move further..
not in at 99.69 after a good gd,PI and extempore.. its not that i am disappointed but the thought tat i have to again put on my blazers and take my file to interviews of NITIE and IIT-Delhi and to travel up and down to delhi nd mumbai makes me feel highly irritated.. not tat i want to degrade nitie and iit-delhi but thing is the only job i ve been doing for the past 2 months is attending interviews and still not a single convert

Upper casting can be done only when the candidate can get through by merit into the GEN category. This is done because the candidate has shown merit enough to not require reservation to get into the institute. Similarly if other candidates show the same merit then they too will be accepted into the GEN category. This does not necessarily mean "more obc's will be transferred to general list".

wish it would have been less i would have been relieved
last year around 340 ppl from general skipped the intervw ( just counted the people ABS ) by virtue of ABCL converts and still waitlist moved by 53 ... seeing dat trend i think sab convert kar lenge till 300 ... just an assumption seeing past trend ...coz dis tym nobody skipped the intervw ... so lets hope for the best ...hope all of us make it 😃

@ashishpai2001 if the conbined score for obc's is more than that of general cutoff list they will be moved to general list.Now as the general cutoff will go down in subsequent lists, i hope ki some more in obc list will be trancferred to general list
