[2013-2015] FMS Delhi Discussions

Till now I have attended 2 gd's one at IMT and other at IIFT. Both were complete fish markets. As a result I didn't get to speak much. Spoke once at IIFT, nil at IMT. So in FMS when my back is against the wall already, and if such a scenario arises in FMS GD's is it advisable to be a part of the fish market ?

P.S. I am not the kind of guy who can cut others.
@awesomeusername
if u have 99.72 then how much needed in gdpi?
@targetcfa bhai, tell me the scaled score...

ps: the marks will be in accordance to last year...subject to change....agar idhar udhar ho gya to meri lena mat :P
@Mad_Max8 No its not a good thing to be a part of the fish market. On the other hand, it is also not advisable to not speak at all. You have to pitch in somewhere and get a couple of decent points.

309

Hi All,
Does anybody know of any good coaching classes IN delhi for GD~Extempore~PI preparation, maybe any special classes for FMS?

I have a good CAT score but avg academics and zero extra-currics mean the advantage is nullified. Add to that my poor soft skills and lack of confidence, not to mention my extremely poor knowledge {of pretty much everything 😞 } and rejection is ensured.

i have screwed up 3 interviews so far, don't want to mess-up FMS which, as the general consensus says, gives high weightage to CAT score.

I called Delhi CL, they said there are no batches right now.

Please help me puys.

Thanks and Regards,
Ankit

@targetcfa : last year, gen cat. ki cutoff 66.kuch thi(including marks of gdpi exte.)....us hisaab se u need 18 marks..

peechli baar, of the individuals who got a convert with 309, the minimum score was 21..and max. was 24...

@awesomeusername
18 marks means average performance or above average
@targetcfa : ab to masti le rahe ho

18 is a below average performance...average 22 thi..

ps: ab plz median or mode mat poochna :P

@awesomeusername
yeah whats mean and median
i saw in last many with around 7-8 also
@targetcfa : yup...22 is the average performance of the ppl who converted...
@awesomeusername
whats the avg of the people who appeared for interview ?
Hello seniors,
Can you please tell me that above what percentile, it would be considered as a fair chance for a NC-OBC candidate to convert the call??

When will the GD/PI list be out?

For all those who are concerned about how many marks they would need, please realize that you have to give ur best shot no matter what marks you think you might need. If you think that you can perform in a certain manner and get x marks, you are highly mistaken. There are so many things a panel looks at while evaluating you, that you have no choice but to give your best shot.

But for those who are still concerned, let me tell you that there are people who converted after getting 98.9 and there would certainly have been people who could not convert even after >99.80. Same is true for all categories. If you have a call, you stand a chance, a realistic chance.

So i would suggest you to do your bit, and leave the trivialities of marks to the panel members.

All the best!
Aur pehle call aane do. IIT-B type ka gachcha na ho jaay..
