[2013-2015] FMS Delhi Discussions

@ShayRom3o Do you have any idea what percentile fetched a score of 290? Because I see many in the range of 280-300. And overall cutoff for gen was 66 eh?
@abhishek91 : No dude, m also researching on that.
@ShayRom3o This year a score of 290 fetched something around 99.25. I guess probably 99.2 last year. Chalo then most were around 99-99.6 then :)
@abhishek91 : How did u get it? Bade fast ho yaar
@ShayRom3o Nahi yar a friend of mine has 295 score with percentile 99.4.Also the number of people last yr was less so the same percentile last year compared to this year fetched a higher score last year. So just comtemplation that's all
@abhishek91 : I agree wid u on this. Last year people did not have an idea abt the cut-off and various stuff, so less no. of people applied.

Most probably the process would be held towards the end of March (though its not official yet, but is most likely).

sir i visited Delhi two days back for IIFT interview and i made it a point to quiz fms admission department regarding the list and interview dates. They said list will be out shortly but interviews will be held only in April end like last year. I am really perplexed; puys here say march end but admission dept says april end.
@mayurdhingra So notice period ka panga ho jayega office mein!!
@revolution2013
@CATastrophee
see its not official yet.... It may be even April... So dont worry about it now. Let the dates be out once.

Looking at the pdf uploaded by some fellow puy , it gives me satisfaction that people with scores below 293 (my score) even made to FMS , specially ones in 280 - 290 bracket, at the same time some with 320s missed with 2 or 3 marks in gd - pi - e . I just hope GD doesn't screw us , because someone's misbehavior during GD can cost an FMS seat to the whole group , tensed for FMS . FMS please ek seat muje de dena 😐

HI.. Can smbdy clarify how are ppl ranked in the waitlist even though thay hav the same score??

For ex last year Darshita Rasmikant Doshi ARINDAM Paul & Abhishek Sharma had same scores of 66.267... However as per the waiting list Darshita Rasmikant Doshi & ARINDAM Paul converted whereas Abhishek Sharma missed out... Can smbdy clarify...

What's curious is that Darshita's form no & FmS reg no r 265 & FMS7007702
Arindam's 348& FMS7010617

shortlist kab niklega

Abhishek's is 1002 & FMS7026665... That means Darshita filled up the form first followed by arindam & then Abhishek... If this missed out just bcz he filed the form last thn feel terribly sorry fr him.. If this process is followed then it shows that even minute details matter in the end.

@saurabhbhuwania chalo kam se kam ek B school aisa hai India me jo transparent hai apne procedure me.. FMS zindabaad
@DeathForce dude, if FMS follows this process that in case of a tie- whoever filled the form earlier- will get a chance, they should better not disclose this, as it will deeply impact the fairness of their selection process. As far as IIM C and others are concerned, in case of a tie- they used to have a set procedure- like IIM C would admit the one with the highest Quant marks, and so on. Any procedure that involves alphabetical order of name or the chronology of filling the form- should not be there at all.
@CATtch2011 I seriously have a doubt if an institution like FMS folows this. For sure , they won't let some useless factors decide the tie , I believe they have certain undisclosed policies
@CATtch2011 Agree with u dude!! There should b a set procedure that objectively differentiates on merit... can smbdy clarify among seniors @mayurdhingra etc.. what the procedure may be??
FYI : The above was just my observation(frightening 1!!) & may not b the actual procedure!!
@DeathForce I have not gone into the nitty gritties of the procedure that is followed. Its not the right time to be concerned about it. Concentrate on your preparations.
