those who've appeared for their wat/pi's for the new iim's....did anyone face any glitches because of your delay in filling the personal data form???
@Madhav45 sir, could you please give an idea about how the 40% weightage of cat score is calculated?? People here are saying that new IIMs simply multiplies your percentile by 0.4!! Is it the procedure that is followed? Or they use the normalized score to calculate our weightage?

no . they will be giving you another form to fill if u havent filled it online
@anbeshivam thanks for the reply sir....Are you sure that cat weightage is calculated by taking our normalized cat score and not by taking our cat percentile?? Bcoz some seniors are saying that they simply multiply your cat percentile for the cat weightage which is obviously biased against candidates having high scores!!!
Normalized score or CAT percentile- the effect is the same right?
@swagat.sid nope...wat i know is that a normalized score will have more variation in terms of weightage for different percentiles...normalized --> good for higher percentile ppl CAT percentile only --> good for ppl like me who are on the lower side of the cut-off...97.27 !!!

chalo try karta hun samjhaane ka...hope ki mujhe bhi samajh aa jaye 😛 ...suppose score weightage is 40percent in a new baby IIM...Normalized(Score Based) --> 97= 260(approx.), 99 =290(approx.) implies 260,290 divided by highest score in CAT12 multiplied by 40 so eg: (260*40)/450 = 23.11 and (290*40)/450 = 25.77...now Percentile based --> 97 divided by 100 and multiplies by 40...so in this case (97*40)/100 = 38.80 and (99*40)/100 = 39.60...
Clearly one can see more variation in the 1st case(Score Based)...Any suggestions or rectifications are most welcome !! :P

Understood but why are you taking the magnitude in consideration anways the number of students in between won't change
@swagat.sid bhai suppose kar ki 2 bandon ka WAT/PI score as well as profile kinda same hai then hardly decimals mein difference hai and condition is ki CAT score jiska high hai he is decimals behind the other guy who has got lower score comparitively...so 1st rule ke according higher CAT score wala aage chala jaega chances of conversion uske zyada bann gaye...right ? what you were asking is also is a valid point par what i feel ki if you consider all the parameters then these 2 cases discussed can be the real game changers...hope i am correct !!! need validation on this by some expert pagal thou !!!
97 is not equal to 260. It is lower than that. Someone with 97 percentile please confirm.

My interview for six new IIMs was on 17th Feb. I had missed the deadline of 12th feb to fill the Personal Data Form but they provided us a hard copy of the form at the interview center and I filled and submitted it there only. I don't need to fill or send anything now, do I?....Someone please confirm.
