[2013-2015] TISS HR and other programs queries

@shruti1518 no anyone can take the paper based test which u have to indicate in the application form..
anyway good initiative by tiss to save tree...
One year full time Master €™s Degree programme for candidates with Master €™s degree and work experience:
Management of Voluntary €“ Non-Profit Organisations

anyone knows more details about this course ?

The site is finally gearing up....... dheere dheere ek ek karke saari info bahar aa rahi hai....

Hey .. the website seems to be ready now. The Admissions Process and the Programmes can be seen on gttps://admissions.tiss.edu

just checked the details on the site - 2 BIG SURPRISES THIS YEAR for TISS!
1. Common Objective Entrance Test for all programs - Ony Part 1 ! (Part 2 exams have been discontinued - instead there will be a pre-interview test at the time of the PI)

2. Test will be computer based ! (however as expected with TISS they have kept the option for paper based offline test if any students prefer that)

I think good news for all Puys... ! I am really excited.. Only Part 1 makes preparation so much easier .. no special prep reqd. for TISS Part 2 now.. and computer based test option definitely preferred for me ..

Lekin...abhi tak....NRI students ke liye koi info nahi hai..... 😞

Fifteen new programs have been announced.. more programs means more seats to get into TISS .. had not expected this since they had already added new programs just last year..

@ TISS Seniors , @gdm4u87 - have any idea about these new programs??

The objective test will have questions related to Social Sensitivity; Knowledge on Contemporary issues; Analytical Ability, and Logical Reasoning.

What could be the content of the PIT test.. Is it an alias to the WAT or will it be like MICAT? Any guesses?

No "VERBAL" !

Brochure for Admissions 2013:

@ank_mission_IIM - Thank you!

You can apply to a maximum of 5 programmes (as compared to 3 last year) but limited to 3 in Mumbai..

any details about the other campuses guwahati and hyderabad?

creating a poll to see what mode of exam ppl prefer .. Please mark your preference at

For all those who seem very very excited..... you can atleast register for the application. The link....

Okay here goes, from the application brochure itself:

1. National Common Written Test - 100 marks.
2. Pre Interview Test prior to PI - 50 marks
3. PI - 75 marks.

Objective test will have questions related to Social sensitivity, Knowledge on contemporary issues, analytical ability and logical reasoning.

MODEL PAPER will be put up on TISS website by October 30, 2012.

So, please wait if you have any doubts on the pattern of the written test.

And people who will clear the cut off will be invited for Pre interview test and PI

Pre interview for Social work programs in Mumbai will be a GD.
For all others, Pre interview will be a written test. We do not, as of now, know what kind of a test it will be for specific programs yet.

So, please bear with us, or you can always ask @gdm4u87 for further details :P

is it easy to crack TISS..??

my father don't have email address & we dont have landline phone.. what should I do? how can i fill the form it is showing some validation errors??

Phew!!!
A slew of changes introduced this year. While we were aware of the test going online (with an option for pen-paper test too), the PIT has come as a surprise to us too.

Request everyone to go through the brochure properly before posting your queries here or on the other thread. Since new programs have been added and the pattern has been changed, we seniors too might have to do the same. So, request you to kindly take the pain

Also, as stated on the website, the model paper would be put up by October 30. Please hold your questions like 'what can we "expect" in the paper' till then. The pattern has been changed and even we would get to know the new pattern only once the model paper is put up.

And as far as the last part of your post goes @MaxMBA, remember, the paper is the SAME for all--whether u take it online or pen-paper mode. If it actually turns out to be "EASY", the cut-offs might go higher and one might still not get the coveted call even with a high score. So, do not take it lightly.

Is the problem "2+2=?" easy to solve?
Is climbing the mount Everest in less than a week's time easy?
It all depends, right????
