I m from the Finance stream. Finance placements have been goin well in past. About 60% of the batch gets placed by March 31st. But this year due to the slump in economy, FInance placements have been affected in all B-School. Presently 9 students have been place in fin out of 60..with 1.5 months of placement session left. Being from the Finance stream and also the Placement Representative for the current batch, I would suggest you to get into XISS Finance, if you are good in academics. The placements will be good this year too with the companies lined up. But you have to score well when u are at XISS. Its a good institute. The highest package for Finance this year is 4.85 lacs and the Avg package is 4 lacs.

Let your imagination go wild. Hold the hand of the interviewer, look directly into his eyes and repeat the dialogue of Dil Chahta hai....Mera janm sirf isi liye hua hai taki main ek din Marketing me kaam kar sakoon Shalini :-P
4. What is your plan if you don't get into MBA?
Will accept the offer to play for Indian cricket team or would feature in Ramu's Bhoot 11 opposite Antara Mali. Huh?!
5. Your hobbies or what do you do in your free time?
Charity!! I had a great contribution in making Orkut a big hit and facebook is a live example you see!!
6. Your 3 strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths: I can run without petrol, can talk nonsense for hours and sleep without winking. Weaknesses: Girls, girls, girls :-D
7. How many close friends do you have? What is good about XYZ friend ?
Let me count...1,2,3...hey can I use fingers of my toes for counting? I like "XYZ" because he is very co-operative. He helped me pass my exams during my engineering days.
9. Why XYZ college?
Because it is the best college in milky way. Interviewer: Majak mat karo. Me: Suruwaat kisne ki :-P
10. Question on ethics (it can be asked directly like are you ethical? Or they may ask you in a roundabout way giving the situation)?
Take out a ten ruppe note from your pocket. Tear it. Put your hand on your chest aur bolo: Agar Bapu ko kahin rakhne ka na to idhar rakhne ka mamu. And don't forget to give "Jaadu ki Jhappi" :-P

As if that matters!!
12. Which is the last book you read? (You should prepare a short summary of the book in mind, learning, you should be aware about the name of author and publication as well as other books by the same author)

GUYS I HAVE A 94.69 percentile in xat and yet my name is not on the gd/pi list! i called them up.they said to email the admissions coordinator. what is up? 😞 omg!
