Don't go by the cut-offs.a good institute,faculty and placement is to be seen in this regard
any one whose gd pi date is 27 feb in ranchi.
Earlier my g.d date was on 25 but my cmat was thr.
is any one knows how are the placements at XISS ....on website they have mentioned a lot....but even no senior is helping us on the thread......seniors please come from your magical burrow....please help us in knowing more about this institute....:)

puys, do the gd topics at xiss are only subjective in nature or abstract too???
i mean, are the topics mainly related with the society, politics, economy and other global agendas????
i had an opportunity to participate in mock GDs which dealt mainly with abstract ones. I am sharing some of them :
1.Green is the new Blue
2.pink flag in blue world
3.if pictures could fly
4.umeedo wali dhoop, sunshine waali aasha
There were some more topics which i don't remember.

@mightyaakash How can we call dem if dey r disinterested(shame on d part of seniors) ...I shared some useful tips on gdpi in previous pages hope it helps !! Regarding dis gdpi thread we tried to bring back d purpose of dis thread but there is everyone whu needs everythng on a silver plate dey cant chk d site for venue time etc etc so d purpose deviates

As u have mentioned u participated can u elaborate a lil on d 1st two topics mite help every1 !!!
@19rahul91 even the participants were amazed with topics given to the groups. though none of us were able to interpret and connect with topics easily, i can comment on what were the views of the members.
1.green is the new blue : main idea of the topic was that "change is evident everywhere and everyone has adopted to all these changes". Everyone connected with it in their own way!!! some said about technological advancement leading to greener technologies.
some said about the changing moral values in the society and how people in society has received it.
there were views about political scenario, that earlier leaders used to work for the social causes and now individual gain is the main motive.how people manipulate power for their own profit and none of us have the time or courage to object to it.
indian economy in this context was also discussed that how it has changed its path from 'license raj' to 'FDI'.
2.pink flag in blue world : main idea was 'to stand out distinctively from the crowd (in positive sense ofcourse !!)'.
in this case also no common point of view was present but the connection to the topic was made on the similar lines as in the first case
Sadly, the instructor didn't provided us with ideas about how to interpret such topics.

@shiii you need not to study any specific thing. just try to come up with ideas on the topics thrown at you at random !!!
but still get in touch with current affairs, what's happening in the business world and the economy (indian and global). get some content on indian judicial system and make your own ideas about the same(because a lot happened, like afzal and kasab's hanging, delhi gang rape, scams worth crores of rupee to name a few).

Green in the new blue - my first idea was the rise of the metrosexual man represented by green , whereas blue (universal colour for baby boys) would represent the traditional rough and tough men who won't even go near a mosturiser.

Maybe I'm thinking too much on the lines of genders associated with colours ..

we were told that the moderator might interrupt you in between and ask you to contradict your own points !!!! so be prepared for everything.Anything.
