Gd/PI at Bangalore- St. Josephs PU College.
Reached the venue very early to get into the environment as I was nervous (Actually I was the first to arrive
)
Panelist arrived at 08:15 am around.. Total 7.
Was briefed at the auditorium about the process by father from XISS.
Took attendance of CMAT and XAT shortlisted candidate and were accordingly called for the GD which was happening in parallel for XAT and CMAT candidates in different room.
In my group there were 12 student shortlisted from XAT for GD- (there were 12 ka batch for GD for any group)
GD Topic - "Empowerment alone can help our women"
(3 panelist in one group and 3 in other)
was given 15 minutes and was told to start immediately after announcing the topic.
(Tip :- Carry a piece of paper and pen for it.)
I initiated the GD and spoke for initial 1.5 mins and then was it went on with other participants.
I chipped in many times and gave a few valid points, the other participants also spoke well, in the middle for a min. it did become a fish market since almost all participated. But it went good and at last 1 guy who did not spoke was told to contribute.
Then we had a long wait till the PI turns on although it started immediately after finishing off GD of all. (Note- GD was not an elimination.)
PI (same 3 panelist again who took your GD)

Me : Gud afternoon sir.
M2: So, Name, Do you have a Pen?
Me : Yes, Sir, I do have that..
M1 : Please fill this form (Just some data like xiss id and xat id for attendance) and then M2 asked for my file which contained my certificates X,XII,Graduation and Work ex, CMAT/XAT score card)
(Note- they look for your arrangements of certificates as well, they will take it from you to see that and also verify that )
M2 : well ! you are from this city (my city name) !! How cum to bangalore now?
Me : Told
M1 : tell me about yourself
Me : Blah Blah
M1 : Why Mba
me : Gyaan
M1 : y u have studies gap ? what u were doing these days ? Y u have so less work exp ?
M2 : How u got so profound interest for MBA after working in an IT firm ?
me : told
M1 : your marks dipped in engg ? y ?
me : told, bit convinced, also told I am GATE qualified
M3 : y u did not went for M Tech ?
me : No interest
M1 : Y finance ? Some finance questions like GDP, Inflation, Dollar- ruppee conversion rates
how dat is affected? Indian economy views ? India- a Import and Export country ?
What all they import ? Oil and gold prices fluctuation impact?
Me : told almost all convincingly and they were fired back to back.
M1 : Y did u left one of the biggest IT firm and choose a tier 2 firm after getting selected for both ?
Me : Blah Blah
M1 : Tell me are we really the biggest consumer of gold in the world
me : got confused, I said , I know we are one f the biggest dnt knw the rankings.
M1 : What is the per capita income of India ?
Me : Umm.. something like $1000... aah Sry Sir, I have No Idea
M1 : Thank you, Its all from my side
M2 also said I am done
M3 : From where u did ur engg ? Hw u came here means from which comptt? what was the rank? tell me the first 3 colleges of this state for engg..
Me : told
M1, M2 (smiling), M3 (hesitant in smiling) says thank u , can leave now.
Me : Thank u sir.
Dnt knw how to rank n give points n it. Puys sud tell..
