Any predictions guys upto what no. d core waitlist movement wud take place?? rough guesses? nd will der be any list after d 6th list?? i knw der was no movement after d 2nd list last time..

seriously stop saying last time last time, last time iift and spjain results did not come after wl came so u can expect heavy moment this time, it will touch 800+ for sure dis time

Bro he was just stating the fact. Last time too MDI/NITIE/IIM/IIT results came but waitlist didt move. I sincerely hope you are right as it looks logical that waitlist movement should occur every list but for some reason it dint happen 'last time'.

What he is saying is logical, last year SP Jain and IIFT came before NM's first list. So the common converts didn't take NM. Hence, the little movement in WL. This year, both SP and IIFT came on or after NM's 2nd list. The common converts this year wud have secured their seats at NM in the first place and would now withdraw.
P.S. I'm another waitlisted guy desperately hoping for some heavy movement.

But still MDI/NITIE/XL/FMS/IIM/IIT they did come after NM but still there wasnt any movement after 2nd. The point is no waitlist movement last yr was very very strange. I hope it doesnt happen this time though. All the best for convert. Whats ur merit no?

Well, the situation is same this year too, only difference is SP and IIFT's results. Let's just wait till 30th. No point speculating. My merit number is 734.

MAYBE the last year waitlist dint move because actuarial science course was scrapped and students were absorbed in core.
Although i feel this years scenario is entirely different from last year (fee rise, placements down, other results timing), so its best to wait and watch !
@abhinav_insane but we also have to take into account the huge number of buffer calls! I heard they have given buffer calls upto 1-and-a-half times the number seats.. But still, we will hope for the best! Good Luck :)

@Harsh093 Point. I was earlier thinking that the waitlist movement would be into the 800s. But, now I'm more or less certain it'll stop around 720 or so at max. Though last year NITIE, SP and IIFT had already released their lists by the time NM 2nd list was out, but we do have to take into account the buffer calls.The 3rd list will be the crucial one this time. I'm still hoping against hope. Stranded at 760. Let's see:)
