@anubhadh Placements report would be coming up shortly and regarding the flats or hostel most of us stay is flats and flats are a bit cheaper than hostels
@Abhaysood Sir, the offer letter makes a mention of looking up the details of the hostel and referring to its application form on the website. Is there some specific link on the website? I have searched but I don't find any mention of the hostel. Also could you throw some light on the type of placements a fresher could hope to secure at NMIMS for the banking management course, as there is a mention of preference for students with more than two years of experience under the eligibility conditions.

@krisharjun07 One lesson that they want to teach you from the very onset is that money does the talking.. And these guys are in business to make money. Their process, at every point of time, gives an impression that one thing that they want to secure at the earliest, is money. Yes, its a good business lesson to learn and nm is perhaps the only b school that starts teaching you management even before the sessions commence, but in the purview of all this, the veracity of the process suffers and every perspective candidate develops certain apprehensions regarding the time they'll spend there. The kind of hurry they show in terms of pecuniary aspects, it seems as if the whole process is rapid and inexorably dynamic and not streamlined and considerate. They allow a person to submit docs on your behalf but they also want that person to have your originals. I guess no one in the world can rely on couriers for sending originals so the person eventually has to travel to Mumbai.And now they need attested copies as well. I guess they already asked for attested copies at the time of CD/PI.Moreover, there has also been an unwarranted increment in the fee and they also append a subject to change clause so that they can eventually disavow any responsibility of a further hike. Looks like they too have deregulated the cap on their prices and now let the markets decide it..

Management is about making the process more comfortable and not about bringing every possible deterrent in the functioning of the entire system. If they are skeptical enough about the authenticity of our documents that they ask us to get 2 sets of attested copies, we too have every right to be suspicious about the promulgated claims. 
But ultimately, yes, we have no option but to secure admission by paying the amount they demand. At least this post will serve to vent out the frustration so that nm does not become my bete noire..
