@whatwhy : I do not remember exactly till what merit number there was movement, but I am told that the waitlist movement was till merit no. 1060 , but every year that changes ,so you can keep hoping for the best.
@NMIMS_CMI had filled BM as my 2nd preference and CM as my 3rd preference . I have converted CM and i am wait-listed for BM. In case i convert BM (which i will , am pretty sure), will it be compulsory for me to take BM (as i had filled it as my 2nd preference) or can i reject it and stick to CM only ? The thing is that i have changed my mind .
Can anybody please tell what is the weightage for the NMAT marks and weightage for the 10th, 12th and Graduation marks in the final selection process. Can sumbody please throw light on this?
What is the last convert for core and banking till now ?? Can anybody tell !!! Also are the merit number cutoffs expected to increase for BM because of increase in core seats, in comparison to last year !!! Somebody please throw light on this !
@sanket10888 Yes even I believe the hostel is not 'value for money' Plenty of flats are available nearby. Only concern is the rent is on higher side. But still if you do some basic calculations opting for rented apt is cheaper(relative to hostel) and at worst equally expensive compared to hostel. you will find plenty of PUYs here as well on FB page to form a suitable group.
@MBAVichar I understand the situation yaar!! Its harsh imo for those candidates who are expecting calls from other institutes and might withdraw later. But as an institute, facilitating for candidates who would withdraw for some other institute isn't exactly the first thing on priority list for any institute right. Anyways no point in debating on whether its right or wrong. As i said its harsh imo.
@draconian11 Regd admissions nothing much you can do 😃 elsewhere the world is your oyster
One thing you can surely so in the meantime is to start gathering the finances(Loan/Family and Friends/Investments etc) as you wud need to pay 6+ lac in one installment that too within 10 days as and when you get converted.
what will be a better option renting a flat or living in a hostel as i have heard hostel facilities are not good moreover security deposit for a flat will be a huge amt i guess around 1 lac
@pmdbest I can help out in this one. Had the experience of my lifetime running around for this one :) 1) Take a print out of the migration certificate form from DTE site 2) go to your college, fill the form (hope that some clerk from ur college is kind enough to help you fill the relevant details) 3) Tell the college secretary/office that you need a migration certificate, so sign the relevant documents which is basically the print out and your LC
4) Go to university, submit the form 5) Go back after 2 weeks, migration certificate should be ready for you.
A word of caution, the LC needs to be a recent one (within last 6 mnths or something like that) If not you need to issue afresh from ur college. One of my friend completed the above cycle only to be told by univ clerk to do the complete exercise again with latest LC.
P.S: By this time you must have uttered enough cuss words and cursed your destiny. My sympathies. That's Mumbai university for you :)
I am in final year of engineering from GGSIPU, Delhi
I have doubts regarding these documents.
1. transfer certificate
2. migration certificate
3. mediclaim policy certificate- if i don't take loan then is it not required?
4. certificate of eligibility from principal- it is mentioned that degree mark sheet and provisional certificate have to be submitted by 10th august 2013. Result comes out in second half of august. what will i have to do in this case?
