Feb 12 iimb bglore: wat opinion on installation of iit and iim in every state by govt.. Challenges and suggestions to overcome the same...
I have made a mistake while entering my graduation marks in the online application form.
My college awards grade points (GPA). I have scored a GPA of 8.75 out of 10. There's a conversion formula:
Percentage = (GPA - 0.75) * 10
Accordingly my percentage has to be 80%.
But, I forgot to do the conversion and maintained 87.5% in the application.
Kindly let me know what needs to be done to rectify the mistake.
Please share your WAT topics.
Thanks.

17 Feb Mumbai - WAT Topic - Smart Cities and Bullet trains. Too optimistic when we havent met basics like infrastructure yet??? The interviews were hardly lasting 15-20 minutes for everyone and panel was well prepared on everything u had written in your SOP. Questions were straightforward mainly around SOP , Work ex and anything different in your SOP. Hope that helps.
Does anyone know the number of IIM B call-getters? The B group in FB has around 360 members in it whereas you can find 900+ members in the IIM C group.
Just an optimistic thought 😃
Mumbai 20 Feb Morning Slot @TheOrchid WAT: The recent death of a student in a University Campus again brought forefront the issue about the uneven educational playfield against the socities discriminated historically. From the perspective of social justice, suggest way in which a viable and an equitable education system can be developed.
Any leads on approx minimum aggregate score required for a general candidate to convert B ? Just curious.
Hello Guys,
Here's my interview experience.
Date: 19th February, 2016
Venue: The Orchid Hotel, Ville Parle, Mumbai
Time: 2 PM
The whole process was very smooth. There were around 25 people for afternoon slot spread across three panels (each panel handling around 7-8 people)
Document Verification was very smooth and hassle free.
WAT: It was a lengthy statement but essence was women exercising their constitutional rights to worship in temples where they are not allowed to worship by traditions.
I was done with WAT within 10 minutes and was satisfied with my essay.
PI: I was last in my panel and had to wait till 5 PM for interview. Interview lasted for about 20-25 minutes.
Interview turned out to be very interesting one. Since I was last candidate and waited so long, they gave me an opportunity to ask any three questions by myself and answer them and I took full advantage of it 😁
I asked questions about my startup experience & learning, one thing which is interesting about me but not mentioned in SoP and my socially relevant B.Tech project which gave me some accolades.
After that it was a casual talk than an interview. No cross questions, no stressing, just a friendly talk.
They asked me about my area of interest in management. One lady from interview panel told me that there are many opportunities for startups in Bangalore and at IIM-B.
She also said that I will like Bangalore more than Pune.
One panel member is a marathon runner and even gave me some running advice. He asked me about my college NGO and my role in it. He also asked questions related to patents.
Finally they allowed me to ask a question to all of them. It was a philosophical question, had a friendly discussion on it for about 5 minutes. They were kind of excited with my own answer to that question. I don't know why but the lady was saying wonderful! wonderful! at the end of interview.
I asked them about their philosophy of a perfect job/career and got some interesting answers from all panel members.
Overall very unexpected but good experience. Satisfied with my performance in PI.
P.S.: I got a new friend there, Prabha Ma'am (Document Verification Officer). She is very nice lady. We had a good discussion regarding my startup & other things and she even invited me to IIM-Bangalore 😃
