At the cost of being repetitive, are there any buffer calls made this year in the General category? If yes, how many?
Also, the converts till waitlist 61 last year were with buffer calls or without? If yes, how many buffer calls were made?
I have shown work ex of 3 months in say A company and 48 months in say B company, For A company I just have first and last sal slip + offer letter and m not able to manage work ex certi as I left the company 4 years back.As IIM B mail pdf asks work experience certificate, now wat should I do, Is offer letter,first and last sal slip sufficient?, Need genuine advice, Will that create trouble ?

WAT Topic -
Comment on the decision of TRAI which made Free Basics wrap up operations in India.
I wrote about what Free Basics was, what problem it highlighted with respect to Internet Connectivity in India, the problems with Free Basics and also suggested solutions for the problems. Overall, I was very satisfied with what I had written.
The panel consisted of three people, 2 professors and 1 alumni.
I don't know who the alumni was but the two profs were -
Prof. Jishnu Hazra
Prof. Suresh Bhagvatula
I will be referring to the panel as JH, SB and A from now on.
The interview went like this -
The panel asked me to take my seat and we exchanged pleasantries. I was the last person to be interviewed.
SB - So Aman, you are the last guy in the panel. How do you think it is going to have an effect on the interview?
Me - Sir, if we go by the Primacy and Recency theory, it plays to my advantage to some extent that I am the last person.
SB - Primacy and Recency, can you explain that?
Me - Sir, this theory tells us that the human brain generally tends to remember the first and the last thing more than whatever happens in between.
JH - That's fine. But don't you think that we have been taking so many interviews, we would be irritated and this might not go well?
Me - Sir it depends on me. If I give a good interview, it would surely play in my favor.
SB - So you work for Samsung, but Samsung people are thieves.
SB to JH - You know, Startups are afraid to take their products to Samsung so they generally take only a video demo fearing Samsung might steal their idea.
JH - Oh, really?
SB - Yes. (Then turning to me) So you work for thieves. What do you think about that?
Me - Sir I would not call it as stealing but getting inspired from others and coming up with similar products to provide more choices to the consumers and increasing the competition.
SB - That's stealing only. So are you proud of Samsung?
Me - Yes sir, I am proud of Samsung but not for the things that I am already maligned for.
SB (Looking at my SOP) - So you want to be a C level executive of a Fortune 1000 company. Innovation alone won't get you there. You need to learn how to steal. You know what Steve Jobs said that Good artists copy, great artists steal. So will you also steal?
Me - Sir I do not know about that yet, but maybe I will acquire those skills down the line.
JH - Do you know where Apple stole the mouse from?
Me - Sorry Sir,
SB - Do you know where they stole the GUI from?
Me - Sir I am very sure that the GUI came from Xerox.
SB - Look at where Apple is now and Xerox is Bankrupt. Do you think it was right on the part of Apple to sue Samsung?
Me - Yes sir. Samsung was and remains to be Apple's closest competitor and the market leader. SO Apple would try all means possible to pull Samsung down.
JH - How does Samsung treat women?
Me - Told about Samsung's practices.
JH - How many employees does Samsung have in India?
Me - Told about the head count and the organizational structure along with the general work done by different research centers.
A - Why should I select you?
Me - Sir, as I have also written in my SOP, along with a good academic record, I also have a lot of extra curriculars.
A - Like?
Me - Sir, I won the 4*100 M relay at the Delhi state level in my school days and have also served in executive positions of Hostel President and Vice President of the student council at my college.
JH - Where do the long distancers generally come from?
Me - SIr countries like Kenya, Ethiopia.
JH - And the sprinters? Where do they come from ancestrally?
Me - Sorry sir. But I can't seem to recollect that.
SB - They come from countries like Liberia, Nigeria etc.
JH - So long distancers generally come from Eastern Africa and the sprinters from Western Africa. What do you think can be the reason for that?
Me - Sorry sir.
JH - What differentiates Sprinters and long distancers?
Me - Sir, the sprinters need explosive strength and the long distancers need endurance.
JH - What is the difference between their diets?
Me (This was the worst answer in my interview) - Sir both set of athletes eat a lot of calories before the races. So they eat a lot of high calorie veggies. Also they do a lot of carbo loading.
JH (Laughing) - If they ate a lot of veggies, don't you think that Indians should have excelled at Track and Field. Don't you think sprinters need a lot of protein?
Me - Yes sir. But I was talking in general about competitions. Then I talked about my school days and how we used to carbo load just before races.
SB - So you work in the DTV division of Samsung?
Me - Yes sir.
SB - What's the future of display technology?
Me - Talked about Virtual reality, OLEDs and quantum core LEDs.
SB - So using OLEDs, I can have a display printed on the back of my shirt?
Me - Yes sir.
SB - How are rollable displays going to be helpful?
Me - I talked about how we can reuse them and how they would be better than banners that we use these days,
SB - And you also said, OLEDs will help making the phones bendable. So will we see the return of flip phones?
Me - No Sir. With flip phones we can only bend them at a certain point and up to a certain extent. These phones will have more flexibility. And Samsung has already shown a prototype of such a phone.
JH - What do you want to immediately after MBA?
Me - Sir I would like to go into Management Consulting. Then I explained why.
SB - So what are your hobbies?
Me - Sir I have been following Manchester United for 11 years now.
SB - But aren't they being drubbed by all teams these days.
Me - Yes sir, we lost the last 2 matches but won 4 on a trot prior to that.
This was followed by a long discussion on Leicester City, their players et al.
A - You said that you were an athlete, why do you have only 70 marks in your Physical Education paper?
Me - Sir I got 30 on 30 in the practical. It was the theory exam where I lost marks.
JH - They also have theory exams for Physical education? What do they ask?
Me - Explained. Also talked about the reason for low marks in the theory exam.
SB - That would be all. Do you have any questions for us?
Me - No sir,
SB - Okay, thank you very much.
Me - Thank you sir.
VERDICT - Converted
Can we send the acceptance without hardcopy of offer letter? Its not written anywhere that we just can't take a print out of the form mailed by IIM B and send that. But I am not sure. Please confirm if anybody is sure!

Hi, Could someone please help me with the reporting day at B ? What date is the registration and when do classes start?
Would there be a second movement in waitlist after the one on May 7th. If Yes then when would it happen because I guess the last date to pay fees for waitlist candidates getting selected is Jun 1, 2016. Would it not be too short period to join if there is a movement after that.
What other documents need to be sent for acceptance apart from enclosure II form?
