PGDIM Gen merit number 237. What does this exactly mean? ppl with merit numbers 1-188 in gen converted the call. is that correct?

OBC: Last merit rank to convert was 203
SC: Last merit rank to convert was 81
2014-16 Batch:
General: Last merit rank to convert was 257
OBC: Last merit rank to convert was 150
SC: Last merit rank to convert was 68
2013-15 Batch:
General: Last merit rank to convert was 247
OBC: Last year to convert was 144
SC: Last merit rank to convert was 85
PGDISEM:
It is impossible to predict anything, since the overlap with PGDIM list is huge hence the movement is heavy too.
Just to give you some idea, data from last year:
2015-17 Batch:
General: Last merit rank to convert was 140
OBC: Last merit rank to convert was 92
SC: Last merit rank to convert was 60

A few general pointers:
1) Don't think in terms of Waitlist number or Buffers given, etc. Every thing is in terms of the Merit List Number you have been given, hence I am sharing the movements strictly in terms of Merit Rank. Anything else will only cause confusion.
2) The above Waitlist trends are just to give you some idea and should act for reference purposes only. Nobody can predict the trend for this year and it is possible that the movement changes heavily.
3) For SC/ST category movements, a lot depends on the category specific students, hence the movement can alter tremendously.
