Dear Seniors, We are aware that you all are busy with your summer internship but it would be great if we can have an official Whatsapp group where we can discuss our queries regarding the college.

Isn't the fee of IIM Shillong too high? It is almost same as IIM Bangalore. Is it worth joining?

My PI went extremely well. Gd was blah. But still I had high hopes for S since PI was good. Now, not even in the WL. This sucks a lot. Can't even digest that I couldn't make to the WL. Congratulations and good luck to all those who have converted !

IIM S has not given any bufer calls, confirmed by AO. What shall be the wait list movement for general ?

Hi, I need an objective opinion here. Here is my profile information:

10th - 9.6 CGPA

12th - 96

Graduation - 75% Bcom Hons, DU

2 years of work experience at American Express (In June 2019)

CAT %ile : 97.77

I have converted Shillong, however, I am not quite sure if I should wait and retake CAT or go for Shillong. Reviews look good but I always had this dream of being in a Top B-school (Had similar dreams for Undergrad but always seemed to miss by a small margin).

I am a bit apprehensive about IIMS and the fact that their fees is close to 21 Lakhs does not help. If I account for all other expenses, it would be around 25 Lakhs + Opportunity cost of 15 lakhs = 40 lakhs.

True, the amount gets recovered in 4-5 years. Still, I would like your objective opinion on whether I should go for Shillong or retake CAT in 2019.

Hi,

The ones who have wait-listed don't need to pay anything as of now or are we required to make payment to stay on that list?

I have a query regarding 10th standard marks. I passed my 10th standard from CBSE board 2011 (CCE pattern which had a CGPA based system) I got 9,9,9,8,10,10 as the score in 6 subjects out of 10 each Which totals to 55/60 So while entering my 10th standard score in the application form I mentioned 91.67% (I.e. 55*100/60) In the marksheet, however, the CGPA which is for 5 subjects only, is mentioned as 9.4 which equates to 89.3% I checked the admission selection procedure which mentioned that 10th standard marks should be greater than 80. No other weightage to 10th standard percentage was mentioned. Can some one please let me know if the percentage entered by me is fine so that I can proceed with the payment timely. I’ve mailed the admissions team but still awaiting the response. Any adcom person, please assist?
