Hey Adcom, since COVID 19 has begun spreading in India, with cases being reported in pretty much every major city, will you considering the option of changing the dates of the interviews? Since there's a lot of travel involved, a lot of us would be risking exposure.

@iamms97 @Yashaavart Kindly take descision on rescheduling of interviews ASAP. COVID 19 is a pandamic and Maharashtra has more number of corona virus patients, and the situation is going to be worse in the coming days. You guys can't sit idle with descision parallysis.
@iamms97 Some of us might be waiting for some information from admin side (regarding the possibility of change in dates) to book tickets. Atleast tell us whether there is any possibility that the dates might change. If its impossible, we will book the tickets rightaway, else we will wait for a few more days.
Kindly respond regarding whats NITIE's take on rescheduling or postponing the admission process... we have already booked tickets nd accomodation...pls inform the dates if u do so ...
Respected media cell, As the cases of COVID-19 are rising hour by hour and currently having maximum cases 26 in maharashtra most states declared emergency and epidemic conditions and major events, gatherings and all crowded places are closed for considerable amount of time even IIT kanpur postponed interviews ..At this moment we kindly Request NITIE team and media cell to look after such major issue as interviews are very important for all the candidates and so health. We request to postpone the dates... As interviews are mass events where candidates come from across the nation... It's better for candidates and for NITIE too, to cooperate with state and central governments and take major steps and let us know for any kind of information as soon as possible. Take care and stay safe guys..
Respected media cell and my fellow aspirants I understand your concern about the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, and your request to change the date but it mostly unlikely that the things would get any better in near future. So if the admission committee wish to consider the change of dates, please do so by allowing people who wish to come to PI as per the dates already allotted and give change of dates to who wish to attend the process after COVID-19 crisis is over.
Talked to a senior. They are going to update regarding interviews tomorrow. Online PI is almost certain now.

Having seen the official Institute Circular in this thread, the students of NITIE have been ordered to leave the campus ASAP.
We all understand the paranoia associated with the pandemic. One important thing to note is, that the circular does not mention any decisions made in regard to the Admissions Process. Till then, we also cannot post any updates. At this moment, We request all the candidates to kindly not undertake any expenses pertaining to accommodation and travel at Mumbai, for NITIE's GD-PI rounds.
Please wait for the official confirmation, which will tentatively be released by Tomorrow.

Dear Candidates,
There have been no official instructions by the Administration currently, and hence no announcements can be made from us.
We know the current state of confusion and anxiety, and we do not want to escalate the same through circulation of any misinformation.
At this moment, all the possible alternatives to ensure the smooth conduction of Admissions Process are being scrutinized, and that only has led to the delay in official announcement.
Please ensure that you contact your mentors regularly and contact them immediately if you haven't yet, and official updates will soon be disseminated to the shortlisted candidates through the institute, and via Social Media handles only.
And as informed earlier, kindly do not undertake any additional expenses pertaining to NITIE's GD-PI rounds in Mumbai.
