Hey So while registering for NITIE , it took the average of all the semester GPA and the average /CGPA comes up to 7.8xx But my actual CGPA is 7.79 What do I do ? I think it was the same for others as well , were they were asked to provide the average of all semesters !!! Please let me know what to do going forward!!!

This is not expected from premier colleges...they must come up with an adequate solution for the interviews as the current solution does not give everyone an equal opportunity...the net speed varies from region to region and the availability of a camera enabled working laptop must not be expected from everyone. Kindly do something about it.
hlo adcom team, if u cannot consider our requests for postponing the interviews to a later time , kindly tell us the whatifs.. 1 whatif we can't be available at the time of interview (someone can be stuck somewhere, someone can even be at a covid19 center)? 2 whatif we disconnect in the middle of the pi? 3 whatif we can't even arrange 5kbps of internet speed on the d-day? 4 whatif even our calls don't connect (today in my hometown my network was down for 5 hours staright) try to answer these so that there is no doubt... atleast we will know what to do when the situation arises.

Anyone having that cutoff spreadsheet for various colleges including FMS, IIMs, NITIE ?
I came across a lot of posts about slow net connection. I totally agree with them. But even if the spread slows down, its dangerous to conduct offline interviews for the next few months. A slow spread doesn't guarantee we won't catch the virus during the interview process. I know this because my district is under lockdown and people without any travel history seem to show symptoms. So online seems the safest bet. Also, some of us live over 1000km away from Mumbai i.e., flight/train travel will only increase the risk. I have nothing against postponing, only against travelling all the way to mumbai in this situation. Even if offline is conducted, at least like other iims they should conduct region specific interviews(as opposed to all interviews in mumbai).
A Lot have already been said and I just want to add that when the college decided to conduct the interviews online, many candidates were depending on external options like they had to buy a webcam, get a wifi net installed or had to go to a cyber cafe. Now after the lockdown all of this is not possible to arrange in short time. In my case my net has become very unreliable. I think the interviews should get postponed for 1-2 week. By that time things will settle down a bit, everyone will be prepared and then it will be fair for everyone.
Are Skype 1 Mbps mein kaisa chalta hai? Aur mobile app se interview dene mein kya problem ho sakti hai. My laptop's cam is shit. Asking coz I just made a Skype id yesterday, never used it.

hey is there any communication from their side about the exact time and procedure of interview process. If yes then do share
In the online interview of NITIE, we will have to-
1. Deliver a talk(or speech) of 5-7 minutes on the 6 topics mentioned in the instructions.
2. A question will appear which I will have to answer for 1-2 minutes. It is more or less like an extempore.
3. It would not be a live interview, it would be recorded.
4. So the whole process would be over in 6-9 minutes as no other activity has been specified.
It would really be helpful if anyone can confirm whether I have understood the process correctly or is there something else that I am missing.
Will a 2mbps speed work for the interview?

Interview will be like XLRI's asynchronous interview on Talview. All standard questions except for one, which will be a surprise question. Will be over within 10 mins. Congratulations to the guys with stronger profiles, you have been selected unless you badly shit in that one surprise question.
