Does NITIE give waitlist number, if anyone is not clearing in the first list?
Last year, Nitie was my best call and I missed convert by a whisker. Here is some info which will be very useful if result is coming tomorrow.
1) Nitie doesn't give wait list number. It gives merit rank. Last year in the first list(result day) general category till merit rank 196 converted and were offered admission.
2) Till 3rd wait list 298 merit rank guy converted. Some people having merit rank in early 300s also converted very lately in spot round. (General)
3) Nitie gives single merit ranks for both the courses and one funny thing is that if you have converted SEM and wailisted for IM then you must have to pay fees for SEM to remain in the race for IM. One actual examle of past year: Actual merit rank of a guy: 285. At the end of second merit list, PGDIM moved till 249 and PGDISEM moved till 288. So the guy had to pay fees even if he only wants IM and wants himself to be considered in waitlist movement no. 3. If he fails to pay fees for SEM then he will be out of race for IM nd SEM in waitlist 3. This was the case last year.
4) Last year's timeline.
Result - 19 April 2019.
1st wait list - 10th May
2nd wait list - 25th May
3rd and last wait list - 4th June.
5) I don't have idea about wait list movements of other categories. I hope this message will be useful.
