ISEM Category rank-48 Closing rank-80.
As I have chosen ISEM as 1st preference(not sure why did I do that), offered admission for ISEM. I believe I had cleared IM aswell. Is there any chance of preference change now?
Could someone please shed some light on this open rank and category rank thing? Ive seen posts where non general people have said that they've got an open rank as well as a category rank. And I'm a general category person and I've got only an open rank. Is it how it's always done - non general people are given ranks in both categories? Or is my assumption wrong? (Not trying to stir up any controversy here, just trying to understand how things work).
Is there any GEM fresher who got in? Or is there any GEM fresher with an MR less than 300? I would be really grateful if you can share your profile. Thank you

To all those who are speculating about their chances go to NITIE 2019-21 Pagalguy page. You will find all the screenshots and other relevant info. As far as selection this year are concerned. These are the observations 1. Interview was not taken into consideration for sure 2. Work ex months and quality played a huge role 3. 10/12/grad had significant weightage. College brand was added advantage. 4. Weightage of CAT was like inverted parabola. Achieving max at 99 percentile then reducing weightage at high percentile and lower percentile 5. Female + Work ex was an ultimate combination resulting in convert until unless they had pathetic acads.

Pgdim Merit Rank- 425 Category- General Any chances of conversion??
Cat - 99.6 percentile 10th - 10 cgpa 12th - 88.2 percentage. 29 months work ex. Interview and extempore both went well. General merit rank 530 for IM. Anyone else in a similar boat?
