For people believing IIM Udaipur to be better than IIM Rohtak, could you please state your reasons in brief. Asking since after thorough research, I couldn't find Udaipur anyway better than Rohtak. My arguments are- 1) Placement figures almost same for both Rohtak and Udaipur(Udaipur marginally better) 2) Both Udaipur and Rohtak publish their placement reports as per IPRS system. In fact Rohtak gets its reports audited by CRISIL! 3)Rohtak was the first new IIM to publish its placement reports. Completed placements by January end and published placement reports by mid february (Not a big differentiator though) 4) Location - Rohtak wins! So guys, am I missing something while comparing both the IIMs? Or both the IIMs are equally good like I said? PS - Guys, please try to be unbiased while answering

About IIM Sambalpur new campus: We are entirely shifting to the new Burla campus which is located 15km away from Sambalpur in Burla city on the foothills of the world-famous hirakud dam. The nearest railway station is Hirakud railway station which is nearly 7 km from the campus. The academic block and hostel are within the university which would be a 5-minute stroll from the hostel. Rooms will be new all around outfitted and on a shared basis (2 people per room). Mess facilities will be matched with high standards. We will be provided with Common study rooms, Fully functional and spacious gym, TV room, Indoor playing room (TT, chess, carrom etc.) and Canteens which will be within our premise. WiFi connection provided will be new and of 1 GBPS. We will be using outdoor sports facilities of Sambalpur University for football, cricket and other sports. Classrooms have A/C and will be having state of the art facilities; Library is open 24*7 with remote access to e-library given to all. A bus will be provided every evening to the city. We have one health centre on the campus, and we are associated with Veer Surender Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research a state-run hospital in Sambalpur. Other facilities will be shared once we get into the campus.
