Off topic but what are the e- maximiser workshops?
So today I noticed that for SIMCAT-3 on the right side corner we are being shown statistics for every question and while I was analysing my VARC I relaised that the Toppers(People scoring more than 90%ilein VARC) finish every question within 10-40 seconds.
How can someone read the entire passage and answer the first question with in a few seconds?Are the statistics accurate?
Why is the answer not 8! - 2*6! ?
There can be 8! ways to arrange all people. There will exactly be 2 cases when Ajit is between Arijit and Avijit. So if we consider these 3 people as a block there will be 6! ways to arrange 5 people and this 1 block of 3 people.

I am not very happy with my score, made some silly mistakes in LRDI, but are there any tips on how to feel confident while attempting Quants?)
Need some advice, this simcat as well as simcat2 of mine had a trend in VARC section(RC only)
I have got almost all those questions correct which IMS has mentioned as the ones with average accuracy<50%.
My time per question is also relatively low from the average.
Still I've ..ed up moderate to easy questions and my OA VARC score&accuracy has gone downhill from sim-1 to sim-3.
Any suggestions?

SIMCAT3 VARC- 47. 33A/20C. Pretty bad accuracy, In this mock i wanted to dedicate some more time on va which i did and paid for but It also helped me understand where i need focus on during practice. Need to spend more time in nets DILR- 69 23A/23C this section gave me the ultimate confidence that lasted till the very end, M still weak when it comes to set selection, started solving from last set, solving Sudoku everyday helped a lot here and took just 6min for this set. luckily last second and last third were easy sets too, a good head start and a good finish. QA- 53 19A/18C skipped geometry (except that one question) recently finished arithmetic and some questions were standard so that helped OA- 169 (99.18) One thing that i learned between simcat2 and simcat3 is to not get attached with the mock scores, instead use it as a tool to rectify mistakes, improve on weak areas and build on strong. I'll screw up lot of simcats and I'll ace some but I won't let these scores get on my head.

VARC-48 ( Dhokha ho raha hai yaha, kuch krna pdega)
DILR-57(Improvement, but way to go. I believe this DILR was bit easy and I may have got lucky. Need to repeat my performance here.)
QA-71(Okay, I am still not practicising the QA part. So I would not put pressure on me despite this being a easy paper of the mock. Ideal score should be around 85)
OA-176(99.62)--Certainly this was easiest of the three SimCats. But still lot to analyse and improvement areas identified.
Let's fix the goal, not to fall below 165 in SimCat 4. I want to minimise fluctuations in my score and scoring around 170 will be good start.

In the 12^50 quant sum, the last digit equals to the remainder only because the divisor is 5, right? Could someone help me with this rule. Does it work for all multiples of 5?

DILR : 37 Was on the easier side. My slow speed is the only reason i couldnt do more. Need to work on that.

A shopkeeper claims that he sells rice at the cost price. However, he uses an 800 g weight for measuring 1 kg. On a particular day a customer bought 1.25 kg of rice at 20% discount. What is the shopkeeper’s overall profit/loss percentage on the whole transaction?
In this question it is written that he uses 800gm weight for measuring 1kg , from this how can we conclude that he will measure 1.25 kg with 1 kg weight?
I mean how we assumed that relationship is linear that is all the weight he measure will be 0.8 times of what has been asked by the customer @scrabbler @scrabbler
