NITIE Adcom Appreciation Post
So far, I am finding NITIE's Adcom to be the most efficient one. They conducted interviews with an excellent efficiency. They made TG groups to let us know when it will be our turn. They assigned us mentors and communicated promptly when the admission portal gave out issues. They replied to most of the posts that demanded some sort of answer from the adcom. I don't know if this part is controlled by the Adcom, but the faculty that took the interviews were excellent and wanted to see the best side of ours, unlike many other B School interviews. Also, the faculty had excellent technical knowledge and knew the answers to the questions they were asking (one expects every panelist to atleast know what they are asking, but for the past two years, at many premium B School interviews I was surprised at how often a panelist asked questions without knowing what they were talking about, which didn't happen at NITIE PI). Infact, AFAIK till today, @heelakshaynew hasn't ignored even one post that asked him a question. I mean, come on, that appreciable to say the least.
What I mean to say is that all in all, NITIE's Adcom has been excellent so far. It is only recently that we are getting to see some uncertainty in the declaration of final merit list. And to be honest, their punctuality has never been questionable. Every admission activity has happened right on time. So I think we can give them a benefit of doubt for this one. Whatever be the reason, let's not ponder over that. Let's just give them one more week. I know all of us are anxious, but we are in a vicious cycle here which will only end when all the B Schools we applied to will come out with their results. I'll repeat it once. Let's give them a week. No incessant questioning about when the result is coming, no asking for a tentative date, minimal tagging the adcom members (only when required), and most importantly, spend time with your families.
