@supratimd916 Thank you very much for your reply. And do you have any Idea about SP Jain too?
Sp Jain gives two types of calls...
1)Profile Based Calls(Based on your overall profile that includes academics, work-ex , past achievements and so on.) Last year cut-off 85+
2) Score Based Calls (THIS IS FOR YOU- In this your score is given the priority for calls and later your overall profile is taken into consideration for final admission). So just think of coming up with a brilliant score supported by a good gd/pi and forget the past. Last year cut-off 95+ ATB :mg:
Buddy past is past you can't change it so just think of the present and focus on getting good marks in snap and xat in coming future alright and as per your details you can apply to:SP Jain (Tough Chances)IMT GXIMBKJ SOMIMI
SP JAIN is really tough too :)
IMI also requires 65+ in throughout and its date is also over :)
@avinashkrjha - sir when will the IIT forms be out? and please tell the last year's cut off (min. percentile) for a GD PI call at IIT Madras, Kharagpur and Kanpur. Thanks!
as per the trends IIT application window opens after results.
And cut-offs for IIT-K,K,Madras hover around 95 (with some kind of sectional cut-offs i guess)
@AbhiOfficial Buddy there is no harm in applying. Moreover you have a decent profile, if you are having a few years of work experience then it will be even better, and your percentile expectation is also very positive. So, go ahead and apply. All the best :)
@supratimd916X- 85.2XII- 94 (Andhra board)Grad- 74with this profile, is it sensible to apply for profile based call for spjain ?ps: i am expecting around 95. so lemme know if i can apply score based.
You have a decent academic record , you can definitely apply . Also focus on CAT and try getting a %ile above 95.
@sunwinderpalfew more queries...my work experience is 2.5 yrs by dec 2012. now can you suggest which one to apply .. profile based or score based?(any sectional cutoffs for score based?)do we need to apply twice for both the categories ?also what is percentile cutoff for BIM last year? (any sectional cutoffs ?)
1. The application process is same. You do not have to fill two forms.
You need not worry about the number of students appearing. All the Best for your results..
I wanted to know because it will give me a rough Idea how much percentile I can score in CAT by comparing some other results as I got 99.23%ile in MAT and 2000 rank in CMAT. I know both are very different from CAT but still this will give me an idea whether I should concentrate over my placement or prepare for other exams/GDPI. I had attempted 21-22 questions in QA(80%accuracy i guess) and 29 questions in VA and dont now about the accuracy there.

According to your profile you are eligible for all the colleges you mentioned...if you are able to get a great score in entrance exams of the respective colleges then you are likely to get calls from all of them, although SCMHRD and SIBM-P looks tough but not impossible alright so just give your best shot...have faith in yourself...ATB :mg:
Thank you ansh12345. The reason for me asking such a question is that all of the above mentioned colleges give some weight-age to academic performance. I am quite apprehensive that due to such a low percentages they may reject me sraightforward .

Every college gives certain weightage to acads but there priority is the Written score and the GD/PI...they won't reject you just like that...see they look at your past records just for getting an idea...all that matters is what you are right now...what are your capabilities now...so forget the past and just focus on getting a good score :)
