Thanks again @supratimd916 and @avinashkrjha !!
Let's see how much normalization can pull up.seriously guys this paper was 1 tough nut to crack! you can see the reviews of today's paper here in PG.
Will any IIT fall into this range? :(
For Marketing, Won't my options for Sales and Marketing get limited if I pursue a course solely on IMC? Their degree goes as PGDM(Communications). How much is this degree valued in our country?? 😞 Please shed some light here as well..

Also, for Marketing, I have one doubt about MICA-I had also posted this earlier-Won't my options for Sales and Marketing get limited if I pursue a course solely on IMC? The doubts you have about MICA can be best solved by their students, so I would request you to pm their students with your doubts. IIT R & M will fall in your range as per last year's trend.

@vikash1imw said:@ansh12345 : NOO...I meant to say i will get around of 60 %ile in CAT 2012 exam....so please suggest me college around of 5-6 lakhs, especially in Delhi.
How come you made out you are getting 60%ile ? what were your attempts and accuracy ?
@Shray14 said:The fees u have mentioned is PA or the total PGPB course fees of 2yrs??And what is the level of Bocconi test?? is it on the same pattern of GMAT or CAT?
1) Yah thats the total for PGPB course.
2) Level of Bocconi test is uncertain...would like you to ask some senior who has taken the test personally for that and the pattern is like 100 ques in 90 mins...ATB :)

You can expect 85-90 %ile in cat as well so you can apply to:
IMT G
KJ PGDM
TAPMI
BIM T
Back ups:
FORE
LBSIM
UBS
NIRMA
Last dates for FORE, UBS, LBSIM, IMT G are close...so decide on them quickly :mg:

IMT in the range of 85-90? :O
@ansh12345 said:Yes, IMT G had a cut-off of 90 last year.
That is for getting a GD call right? Or is it like with 90 it is possible to convert IMT-G?

what are the best colleges which don't have a sectional cut-off???
@supratimd916 said:IMT,G and IIT's are also very good. You can aplly to IIT,M,R .
@sunwinderpal said:@dna_lost Very good academic credentials. Considering that your accuracy stands around 85 percent you should be able to secure between 84-88 percentile. Apply to TAPMI, KJSOM, FORE, LBS, Welingkar, NIRMA, BIM-Trichy. All the best for your other exams and put in your best to excel in them.
One more query. Most colleges, eg: TAPMI, FORE etc take both CAT, XAT scores as well. So how do we apply for these? Do we have to apply twice if we need both scores to be considered?
@dna_lost You need not apply twice. Some seek for preference amongst exams which you want them to consider, others allow you to submit the scores of all exams against which they consider applications and then the institutions act accordingly.

If they ask for a preference of score, won't the other score be considered if my preferred score is less??
10th - 76.2%
12th - 72.5%
B.Tech- 8.5/10
Exp : 3 yrs at the end of this year.
my attempts in CAT (20th oct 2012 mrng slot) are:
QA around 18 - 14 correct from my side, remaining 4 inteliigent guesses
VA- around 22 - attempted 5/9 LR correctly, left the remaining 4. Rest confident about a 85% accuracy.
Have a couple of queries:
1) I expect my score will be hovering around 90%. Wanted wto about the sectional percentile that I can expect, along with the overall percentile as per your view?
2) How good is FORE and GIM in respect of ROI?
3) What are the colleges I can target with my predictive score?

@AnothrOneInLine I would also second on your assumption of the percentile. It should hover between 85-90 percentile. Comparisons of b-schools is not allowed on PG. Please PM respective seniors of the institutions to have your doubts resolved. TAPMI, NIRMA, KJSOM, BIM-Trichy, Wellingkar FORE, LBSIM are some of the colleges you may apply to.
