[2023] Which B-Schools should you apply to?

Hi All,

I had my CAT on Nov 4th. Attempted 20 question in sec 1 and 17 in sec 2 with most of them correct and 2 to 4 calculative guesses.
What %ile can i expect and which BSchools will be the best to apply in my case??
My acads are as follows,

X - 83%
XII - 89%
BE - 76%
with 2 years of work experience and still working!.

@supratimd916 Friend... I attempt 23 in QA - 22 correct/ 1 wrong by silly mistake.. (99%ile in Maths CAT 2011 last year) .. so hoping for the same this year too atleast in 1st sec. but in sec 2... I could attempt only 15 questions where as others attempted 23-24.... with 15 attempts(Not sure about the right/wrong).. I will get nearly 60 %ile in sec 2.... I was in big tension frnd.. last night I couldn't even sleep due to worries.. i want to join MBA this year for sure in decent B school. bcoz i m having 2.5 year ++ exp in software industry but i did get any good exp with my manager as he didn't give me increment in last 2 years.... 😞 bhai join to kerna hi hai is baar college.... 80-90%ile pe konse college fill keru??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

CAT 2012 on 4th Nov, morning slot.

QA/DI - 14 correct out of 17 attempted.

VA/LR - Attempted 27.

10th - 88% (M.P. Board)

12th - 81% (M.P. Board)

B. Tech. - 9.64/10.00

Work-Ex. - 11 months(in IT) till October 2012

I've applied to IIFT, FMS, MDI.

Which other colleges should i apply to inroder to expect calls?

Confused among K.J.Som./IMT-Gzb./IMI/SPJain/MIB-MHROD.

I might consider applying to IITs based on my CAT score(after CAT results are announced).

@supratimd916 he is not having salary slips as he is working freelance for one comapny in night and regular in other company at day time..both have given genuine 2 years experience letter (which can be prove)..
he is having sales record of paypal as well as every sale data in file..
his rating appreciation letter by comapny owner is there..so wil this help shivam?

Xth - 93
XII - 77
B.tech -61
No workex.
Where should I apply ?? writting snap, xat next.

Hello All.. gd evng.. today i wrote my cat exam.. it was moderate paper.. here are the details of my attempts: Sect 1: 14 and Sect 2: 18 with 90 to 95% accuracy.. I belong to NC-OBC category and here r d details of my profile: Xth: 75.6% (CBSE), XIIth: 80.2% (CBSE), B.E:77.8%. And 2+ years of work experience.. Could u plz let me knw :-
1. hw much percentile i can expect.
2. wot r my chances of getting top colleges..
3.from which all colleges i can expect call if evrything goes as i stated..
pls seniors rpls soon.. m waiting for urs valuable advice.. thanks..

As far as XAT goes,apply to XLRI,XIMB and for CAT...depends on your expectation, if you think you will score well then apply for FMS,IISWBM,MDI,IMT,IIFM....etc..depends on your score and the sector you want to see yourself after a certain period of time

A lot would depend on Verbal Accuracy.

But you can expect to score between 90-97 %ile.

Depends a lot on your accuracy as well.

Assuming it to be 90%, you can expect around 90%ile

1. With 100% accuracy, you can easily cross 99%ile. Even more.
