Im from Tamilnadu , I will end up scoring 70 to 75 percentile in this year CAT.
Can you suggest me the B schools I should apply ?
like BIM, NIT-Trichy , FMS-BHU .... and I belong to NC-OBC , so suggest me the B schools which do have NC-OBC seat allocation

Further their eligibility criteria for last year says “At least 50 percentile score in each section of the CAT-2011 is required by a candidate to qualify for being short-listed in GD or Interview,” & “The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total percentile rank and sectional percentile rank scores declared in the result of CAT 2011 test”

Weightage on past acads is less AFAIK.

I think if you have good accuracy you can look at something like 85-90%tile.... I personally know a friend of mine who attempted 12 in QA and 9 in VA last year and ended up with 85%tile in QA and 81%tile in VA respectively(he got all correct).... so no need to worry

apply to LBSIM, NIRMA for sure.... and yes wait for cat results.../other options will open up

No, i dont rememeber that(maybe towards the end).... but as far as I know in cat accuracy matters... I know a few TIME senior officials and all they ever told me was to get 90+ accuracy even if you attempt as low as 30 questions..

p.s.....no idea abt this year though
