hello! i m in a little confusion!!! i dont know how much importance is given to extra curric's?? here s the list of i think my extra curric's are
1.volleyball regional 2 times winner certificate
2. 1 shuttle regional winner certficate
3. completed hindhi saba exams prathmic,madhyama and rashtrabasha...(got certificates)
4. got 1st class typewriting certificate.
5. 1 yr german language evening course certificate from pondicherry university(central govt.)
those mentioned above are enough?? r should i work on it little more??
pls help me friends! since i am going to write CAT next yr. i wont have any work xperience. i m doing B.tech

@swathi65 Sit back and start your GD-PI prep in full swing!! If not the oldies at least the new IIMs will give you a call. But I'm sure you'll also get calls from few of the old IIMs. :)

@dhiva There is nothing called "enough" or "more" for extra curriculars!! And frankly it doesn't matter whether you have more or less bullet points. What is important is how you convince the interview panel that you're not another case of "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"!!
They'll be looking for dynamic candidates who can multitask, work in a team, lead a team etc. Basically, do not just studies but take active part in other things happening around.
Again not having work exp is not a matter of concern. There are 1000's of freshers joining for MBA. What matters again is how you'll be a value add, an asset, as an MBA and to the batch they institute is putting up. And that depends on how you speak and convince them with your answers to questions answered!!

@ajaygovindg.....friend i m predicting dis score as der are many on pagalguy forum who have attempted 20+ in section 1 and with greater accuracy....i m hopeful between 80-90...i m thinking now of applying to FORE, LBSIM, DSE(MHROD & MIB),IMT and BIMTECH.....dat IIF institute wich u mentioned,i dnt have any gud feedback on it so not applying for it.....i guess the list sufficies...if u have any other valuable suggestion, u r alwz welcome:)...thanx again man for d reply:)

@Dexter25 People on PG are a limited subset of the actual CAT takers. I assume this is your first CAT attempt. 😃 Happens the first time. One expects low based on posts by 30-40 people in PG or elsewhere and finally when results come he/she gets much more than expected. Again not trying to give you any false hopes. But don't become conservative on applications based on what you see others post here! All the Best :cheerio:
