based on my personal experiences of the past two CATs, the comparative difficulty level over the years and overall interaction with and feedback of the fellow CAT takers as well......afterall this is an estimate and should be taken with a pinch of salt....
Yes, but this year's difficulty level was different from that of the last year.

no offence at all sir. but what if your estimate turns out not even close to that %ile. You don't even know how he/she was performing in mocks. It will be unfair to give the prediction without knowing everything.
Again I am not offending your knowledge. I respect that but just giving my view. Take it sportingly :).

none taken....but i just respect the confidence of the person who thinks that he will get x correct out of y attempts....if he is wrong in estimates then so will be his/her actual percentiles on D-day.
But iff someone does get a raw score of 93 this year then for sure he/she can expect to be in the 90 to 95 %ile range.....that's whhat i am saying

ok :).
just curious to know that whether this Normalization process really works??
@abhibeloved A detailed process of how the scores have been normalized is officially released by the IIMs. The trouble is that its a lengthy and complex document.
Please visit the mentioned link for the detailed explanation as provided by the IIMs.
Hi Puys, All those who have appeared CAT this year. Here you have an opportunity to have a look on the profile of Department Of Managmt. Studies, Pondicherry Central University, The most ROI( return of Interest) incurring college & to add more, one of the cheapest in cost, MBA college of INDIA. Have a look at it and shoot your queries. http://www.pagalguy.com/posts/4153021
@koustavindia You can expect your percentile to be around 96-97+ Apply to IITs, NITIE, MDI, SPJAIN, FMS, XIMB, IMI, MICA(if interested in marketing). All the best :)
@sunwinderpal hey my case is almost same as kaustav.....23 in QA/DI n 18 in VA/LR total incorrect expectd around 4-5 out of 41...........i'm frm sc category......in which colleges shld i apply
@Abir1103 Expect the percentile to be in the same range and the institutes to which you should apply would also remain on the same front, viz., IITs, NITIE, MDI, SPJAIN, FMS, XIMB, IMI, MICA(if interested in marketing). All the best :)
@sunwinderpal Saar, PGDM at MICA is completely different from the general Marketing specialization/elective offered in other B-Schools! MICA is best suited if one wants to get into Media Management, Communication, Brand Management etc. Normal Marketing se toh usually majority ko Sales hi milta hai baaki institutes mein! :mg:
