Hi All,
Below is my score fr CAT 2013
Quant etc: 94
VA etc : 80.85
Overall : 91.5

10th (ICSE ) : 86.16% (2004)
12th ICSE : 80.66% (appeared in 2006 )
B.Tech CSE 2011 : 75%

I have bee n working in Infosys for 15 months (since 26th sep 2011 )

I have not appeared fr any other Entrance exam , nor have i applied anywhere so far.

Please suggest my best college options for applying now

Worth applying, good/bad etc. are all subjective. What is good/bad for me may not be so for you. Look for facts/information from current students and/or alumni, match them with your expectations from MBA and then decide whether an institute is worth applying.

Wait for result of XAT, SNAP etc. to see if you have better scores, else think of CAT '13 and other exams in 2013-14 season!

needed more insight though.
i had appeared for the first time, and this was only on trial basis.
i only wanted to gauge myself.
now i am doubtful if this was superfluous or my real cpability.sadly i din appear for another exam, so have nothing to verify .

i would like to know what college is worth considering for someone with 3.5 years work - exp.. making abt 9 lac p.a..Working in the analytics/consulting domain
also, considering my work ex- are there only some specific Colleges that i must focus on. Which are these? In the long term, only ISB is making sense to me other than the top 6 iims and XL.

I have OA 95.5 in cat 2012. What must i do? try the GMAT. (english is my forte so believe that 700+ should be achievable.) or maybe just bite the bullet and go with SP jain if i am able to convert - marketing only!!

All opinions are welcome.

OA: 82.83, QA: 83.67, VA: 78.22, X: 92.75, XII: 80.30, B.Tech.: 8.45 DGPA. Work Exp.: 21 months from Vedanta Resources Plc., Decent extra-curriculars, Category: Gen, Native: Kolkata. Applied to: IMT-all, IIFM, IISWBM, LBSIM
(1)Do I stand a chance of getting a GD-PI call from any of the above mentioned colleges?
(2)Where should I apply to, in order to have a decent chance of getting a GD-PI call?

(3)How is SIOM? Should we believe the placement details furnished in their website?

(4)Does XIMB give preference to Oriya candidates and also let me know if I can expect a call from KJSomaiya for their PGDM-IB if I fill the application. Is IB bit rstricted?
Please consider: this year itself I have to take admission in a decent b-school. Honest thoughtful answer is badly needed.

1. You stand chances from IIFM, IISWBM, LBS, IMT-Nagpur.

3. SIOM is good if you are genuinely interested in Ops.

4. XIMB has a lower cut off for Orissa Candidates for giving GD/PI Call.

5. You stand a chance for KJ-IB as per trends. As far as placements are concerned, there is not much difference between KJ PGDM and KJ PGDM-IB.

You should only go for 6 IIM's, XL and ISB.

SPJAIN can also be a decent option.. !!

Hi,

My CAT 2013 score

OA: 94.09

VA: 87.56

QA: 94.94

10th :82.5

12th: 79.6

B.E. :77 ( 10th in merit list)

Work Ex -11 months in IT industry.

Applied for SP Jain and MDI only . What are the chances in these two?

Apart from this, which colleges I can apply keeping sectional cut off in mind too?

I am looking for admission in MBA-Finance only. No other option.

The other colleges which I can apply are (came to know from this forum itself)

1. IMT
2. KJSOMAIYA PGDM
3. IIT Roorkee, Kanpur (Only if 93+)
4. IMI
5. MHROD
6. TAPMI
7. BIM Trichy
8. NIT Trichy
So among these which one I should apply based on my profile?

What average package I can expect after course completion?

Anyone with suggestions are welcomed :)

I'm a female candidate of GEN category

I've applied so far to: SPJAIN, NMIMS, TAPMI, IMT, FMS. Have also applied to XIMB, XLRI, GIM (for XAT) and SNAP colleges (SIBMP, SCMHRD, SIBMB, SIMS).

Got the 1st list invite from IIMK.

I wish to know which colleges can I apply which are still open for registration with my CAT scores, for e.g. the IITs.

Any help is deeply appreciated :)

i havent applied to any b schools as im really really confused.... please do help..
i have seen the selection percentiles of previous years but im still not sure where to apply bcoz of low quant score...

plus i hv made it to this shortlist of iim kozhikode... are there any hopes of converting this..or will d cut offs for the next stage b much higher than wht i olready have..
