You stand chances for IIT's if you can clear Sectional Cut Off's. Try to confirm the sectional cut off's of last year for OBC from the respective helpdesk threads and apply accordingly.. !!

That you have to take a call.
Check all the facts about the college. If it satisfies you and meets your expectations, you can join it.
But yes, for people with heavy work-ex, it is not very easy to change profiles. e.g from IT to Fin or from IT to Sales and so on. you will have to give a fight.
