Approximately how many people will be having above 85% sectionals in CAT 2012 and overall 90%. And also how many people will be having their academics as follows :

12th - 80+
graduation - 80+

Around 17000 people may have around >90%tile but can not predict anything about sectional and academics. 😃

If you are engineer then you are eligible for IITs.
For IIT B, you need to have 60%/6.5 CGPA in B.tech.
For IIT D, you need to have 60%/6.75 CGPA in B.tech.
For IIT Kgp, You have to have First class in engineering and Minimum 95%tile in CAT.
For IIT kanpur, You need to have 65%/6.5 CGPA in B.tech.
For IIT Madras, You need to have either First class or 60% in any Discipline.
For IIT Roorkee, You need to have either 60%/6.00 CGPA or First Class In Engineering.

It is hard to get a call from Any of IITs with this over all.
But You may apply to IIT Kgp MHRM Program.
But You may apply to IIT Kgp MHRM Program.

Yup. MDi's cut off was 93.98%tile last year, but converting might be difficult. It gives 70% weightage to the CAT, You have to give your best in GD PI.
Further consider applying to IIT Kgp,IIT Madras, IIT kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IMT Ghz, IMI Delhi, K J Somaiya, MICA and TAPMI.
