As far as I know :
Earlier one had to submit CET Application Form.
After that one had to register for GD/PI.
After that Final Merit List is displayed by DTE.
Then one had to submit form for CAP Rounds. And you get colleges as per your Merit Rank.
The process is expected to be same with CET being replaced by CMAT.

Appeared without any prep 2 years ago, score came around 70 percentile.
This year I am appearing with prep but not from any specific Classroom tutor/ AIMCATs.
Will give CAT, NMAT, SNAP but did not opt for XAT yet.
Please suggest which colleges' voucher to be bought for CAT in the above scenario..
Shud I try for XAT also?? Or any other exam for this year..

1. You should def try for XAT as well. There are few good colleges through XAT --> XLRI, XIMB, GIM, LIBA, IFMR
2. I suggest you to take few Mock Exams. Based on score only, We can suggest you few colleges to Apply.
3. Else, you can apply to the top colleges as per your expectations.
4. Check the last yr's cut off %iles of colleges at --->

I have various national and state level certificates but they are all achieved in school.
In college, I played cricket in state V division league. But KSCA doesnt give certificates for that. My name has been featured across various newspapers which can be verified on google.
My doubt is do I really have something to show in my extra curricular ? I dont have certificates at college level.
Do I stand a chance of getting an IIM call even if I score between 98 to 99?

Tiss is considered to be one of the best colleges for HR apart from XLRI. They don't give MBA degree but M.A. in Human Resources Management & Labour Relations apart from other courses. Though the degree is not of MBA but it is very well recognized and respected in the industry as any MBA degree in HR. This link may be useful for you
@Mak88 To the existing list, you can add the names of IITs B-schools like VGSoM, SJMSoM, DMS Delhi and others. Other colleges accepting CAT are Nitie and MDI. Some of the colleges accepting XAT scores are XLRI, XIMB and GIM.
PS: With such a good academic profile, I don't think you should be targeting CMAT (My personal opinion). You could also safely remove 1-2 colleges from your existing list.

Generally, all the b-schools have a common curriculum in the 1st year which is a healthy mix of Marketing, Operations, HR, Finance, Systems and IT. Now based on your liking and the subjects you feel you're good at, you've to choose the specialization in the 2nd year. So, don't think much about the specialization and all unless there's something you're very specific to get into.
