That's because it is a college with very niche course. And not many people will be interested for it. That's why Rankings are low.

DSM started just few years back. Placements have been improving over the years. Fee is low.

Work-Ex- 23 months till Aug-2012 with Top IT Company

I want only top ranked colleges (Top 20)..Please suggest. Also, what chances I have with SPJain??
I had got an IIM Call in 2010 but cudnt convert it ....
My choice of study wud be Finance , though I am quite open at present .

You need to have a BE/B/Tech degree for applying

If it is regarding how good it is, then the answer is very relative. It depends on your expectations.

But as per Pagalguy Rankings, it is not among the Top Choices.. !!

1. SPJAIN Looks tough at your profile to be frank (Though not impossible if you score very high in CAT/XAT).

2. Apply to ---> MDI, SIBM, XIMB, MFC, JBIMS, IIT B, XLRI, NITIE (Ops).

@anand5787 Thanks man. Are the application dates over for the colleges you mentioned ? Any good IITs in this range ? What about TAPMI ? Which is the 3rd best college under SNAP (after SIMB pune and SCMHRD ) ?

@seetharam7 you can target some of the IIT's , but looking at last year cutoff (min 95%tile ), it might be difficult to get a call below 95%tile,so brace yourself well for the cat and give your best. Apart from SIBM Pune and SCMHRD, you can target SIBM Bangalore and SIIB.

FEAR FACTOR

CAT 2012 is hardly few days away now. How many of you are feared about this fact. How many of you think that preparations are not upto the expected level. How many of you think that you won't be able to do well.

I am sure quite a few of you must be going through this Fear Factor.

Just a few suggestions from my side for overcoming this :

1. Relax. Go out. May be with your friends, your family, etc.

2. Maintain a regular routine. Don't change your schedule.

3. Don't try to solve any type of Random question or learn any new concept.

4. If you are not able to solve any question, take your time in solving it. You gain a lot of confidence by cracking a difficult question irrespective of the time you take in solving it.

5. There are many examples of students who have scored much better in the actual CAT than their mock scores. So don't be too worried about your Mock %iles. One of my close friend used to score between low 30's to 80's in AIMCAT Last Year. Finally he scored a 99.02%ile and is studying in FMS now..

6. Have faith in yourself. All the Best. Cheers

Would not recommend SIBM bangalore , not sure about SIIB ..

well..as per the coaching classes it's good..but as per pagalguy it's not.so m cnfusd as to keep it as an option or not.my xpctatn is 6 l p.a n abov(h.r)

i dnt hav too high exp whn it cms to packages u kno..but atlst the colleges shud hav sufficient no of cmpnies visiting their campuses

Go for Top 55/65 Colleges as per PG Rankings (with of course HR as a course). That should suffice your requirements.
