Essay: autobiography of a VCR (she wrote half a page)no word limit,but some time limit,
Interview with a panel of 4 people
Directors interview.
from her group of 10 candidates in GD only 7 were chosen...

rashmi here...looks like my mom has pretty much summed up my gd pi experience. my topic for the gd was "are women fit for defence or not". there were about 10 members in my group (so everyone got a chance to speak) and 3 panelists. after you get through the gd u will b given a topic to test ur writing skills. my topic was autobiography of a video cassette recorder. ur given 8 mins to pen down ur thoughts. no word limit.the next round is the personal interview round. they were a panel of 4. they askd me a few questions on my internship and UG education. the students who had work ex were asked questions regarding their company and experience. they ask about ur achievements and hobbies depends on what ever u have mentioned in the form bocz that is what they have before them when they interview you. the next was the directors interview. it lasted for not more than 10 mins. it was very chilled out and relaxed. thats about it.. i hope it helps.. tc

Work-Ex (number of months): 22
Sector : IT
VENUE: Manipal
GD Details: Guess there were 18 ppl in the panel but only 9 turned up, out of which 4 were eliminated after the GD. One guy spoke quite well but he was still eliminated as the points were irrelevant. A guy with percentile as high as 98.xx was eliminated where as a guy with 72.xx percentile cleared the first round. The GD as a whole went fine, no fish market situation.
Topic: Women empowerment is the cause for increase in the divorce rate in India.
Number of Ppl present: 9 ( 5 proceeded to the next round)
Time: 4 mins to think and 15 mins to discuss
ESAAY Topic : They gave a picture of ppl holding banners of save water and save reservoirs. The time given is 8 mins, no word limit.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW DETAILS : The interview panel consisted of 3 ppl. There were cool and never tried to stress the students. It was more like a HR interview with basic questions like tell abt yourself, why MBA, job profile questions etc etc.. On a whole pretty decent.
DIRECTOR INTERVIEW: This one was even more cool. Same questions like tell me abt yourself and explain why MBA but less in quantity :):)
Over all the process was smooth but they made us wait big time, the whole process lasted 5 hrs.
The campus is very good with good infrastructure.

hey..he asked me about my college since i'm a pass out of manipal dubai... and asked if i would apply through NRI quota category if i do not get in through this category. also if i would consider healthcare mngt if i do not get accepted into the pgdm course. u can ask him qns if you have any queries that is.. thats about it..besta LUCK..!

I have very less percentile in CAT.I wanted know are the ppl in 60, 70 and 8o percentile able to clear first round? Are they announcing the CAT score of each student.. want to avoid the embrassment.

Do they ask questions from the profile form we had filled during applying for TAPMI or from the form they have sent us through mail..I mean which one do they have with themselves???? Please Could some one Clarify my doubts..??
