To know about life @ TAPMI please refer to below thread:-

Thanks to raj_honour aka Sudip Ray for the below post by him:-
Last year process went like this:-

Every person who applied to TAPMI was called for GD...
There were two stages:

Stage 1: Group Discussion
GD - 40% weightage and CAT/XAT score 60% weightage
Now, a total of 65 or more marks was supposed to be scored out of 100...meaning say if you score a 90%ile in CAT/XAT then out of 60 you get a 54, so you need to get 11 out of 40 in GD to go past this particular round
(Yes it's true people with high percentiles have an added advantage but I myself have seen 96-97 %ilers getting rejected in GD solely because either they spoke crap or were keeping quiet)
Basically GD was an eliminator round...

Stage 2:Interview process
This stage had essay writing and interview...
The people who were selected for Stage 2; their scores were calculated based on the marks obtained in essay writing, interview and profile(10,12,grad marks and work ex)

Then the final list of students was prepared based on the cumulative marks of both rounds
People with lower %iles also stand a fair chance if they give a really decent gd and have a good profile compared to the higher %ilers.

So here one will be tested at whatever percentile he/she gets subject to the condition dat he has got good profile...

@mayankmychoice thanks for starting this thread.
asking on behalf of my friend
bca-67%
12th-74%(state board)
10th-65%(state board)
work ex-27 months(not in any it company)

what are the chances and how much percentile in cat/xat is good enough for him to get through?
@Harichaudhari12 - the profile looks fine... as far as %ile is concerned last year TAPMI called everyone for GD. GD is an elimination round here. TAPMI believes in providing everyone a fair chance irrespective of the %ile in CAT/XAT....Also TAPMI believes in profile based shortlisting rather than just CAT/XAT %ile based...

Last year people with 90+ %iles also cudn't convert and people with say 85 %ile also converted... So it depends on profile but ya %ile is also a part of that criteria.. So focus on CAT/XAT....ATB... :)

Hey what are the chances at TAPMI with 99.8 percentile in Sept MAT 2012? Do they even consider MAT scores in the final selection process?

@life99 - MAT scores are considered only for HCM program not for General PGDM...for PGDM only CAT/XAT are valid....

Could you throw some light on the last percentile convert for a fresher last year? It would be helpful.

@prakhar9 - It wud be difficult to take out such figure & tell u coz we have a batch of 300 students...i wud still try my best to get this figure if i am able to get it...

Also TAPMI doesn't differentiate between fresher & work-ex if u r a good fresher candidate... Work ex is just a criteria not the only criteria..

Can I apply with both CAT and XAT if i am willing to fill the form twice ?

@aditjain - U dnt require to fill the form twice....in 1 form only u can apply through both CAT & XAT scores....hope dat answers ur queries..
@mayankmychoice
i scored 99.53 inn Sep MAT
12 months work ex.
B.Tech- 75%
X/XII- 70-75%
should i be expecting a call?? What about placements for health care management??

@the1registered - For GDPI process for HCM good chances are there....placements are good for HCM...for more info on placements please refer to TAPMI's website..
@mayankmychoice i have filled TA Pai in my MAT application as one of the institutes where my score has to be sent, should i apply separately also(through the application form of TA Pai from its website)??
@the1registered - Yes u do need to apply separately also....

---snipped---

@raj_honour - precisely everything is covered by this post...what actually happened last year....

Hello
Hi This is Suraj and I will be appearing for GMAT in mid novemeber or december. The below mentioned are the details about my background.

10th-77%
12th-70.1%
B.Tech-57%
Work exp-1 year 11 months as a Software Tester ISTQB Certfied.

What is the GMAT Cutoff on an average for TAPMI .How good are the chances considering my academic profile and work exp??

@theachiever - Like i said in my first post dat its a profile based call not only based on ur entrance exam score....So its possible dat u mite not get a call at a higher score & might get it at a relatively lower score....so to say any safe score is difficult....Hope dis helps

Are there any reservations for SC/ST ?
