well regarding the hostel yeah ppl living in the hostel have net connections....we had a bulk deal with IBM this year for the laptops...HP ,TOSHIBA also came for a presentation with their offers...so think u can guess the usage now....

i guess this time gd/pi would start near 15 feb..so u have barely 15 days ..so prepare hard...brush up your acad and gk....

be clear about hot topics like sez/reservation/indian economic issues...so be prepared for grilling interview..

believe in yourself and i hope i see all of you here at this wonderful place called FORE

first of all thank u for ur effort and all the help u extended to us.

now that i ve got a call just wanna know the most inportant thing that do we require a resume i mean ofcourse we would need one but in case if they do not check it at all or they do ask for it coz i have things which i can tell them only thru resume if they see it so plz tell me abt that......... n do we have to carry our docs at the time of interview or are they allowed.of course last years experiences and some topics wld be of grt help tht wld be there on post.actually i have job offers frm top four companies and good exta curris which i cls only right in resume as in the form there was not enough and at that time i cnt present it well .............so plz tell me the resume funda

IMT has greater avg salary(somewhat 8+) than FORE(6.5+).I m not comparing institutes but only trying to avoid confusion in my mind.
Secondly companies that come to FORE and institutes like IIMs /SPjain/MDI
offer the same job profile ????

Plz answer these questions will help me a lot.

call up the admissions office and tell them about your problem....but do it on time because if too many ppl apply for rescheduling then they do not entertain such requests....do it 1st thing on monday morning

well u hv to carry ur docs during the interview...1stly becos before ur interviews all the details that uv filled on the admission form will b cross checked in the audi and then ull b guided to the interview room.....once inside the room its all upto u and u mite nt b asked to show ur docs....interview is generally surrounding wut uv writtten in the form and trust me, they do go thru ur form very nicely....beyond wut u hvnt written in the form is upto u how u r able to guide the interview....as about the topics, as FOREx has rightly said...be ready with the current topics like SEZ and all.....last yr we were given GD topics related to the sensex xos then it was the hot and boiling one....india-china is another fav topic...
in the inrterview they wud generally refer to wut uv spoken in ur GD..
for engineers specially...get ready to b grilled on ur acads as the faculty has a keen interest in GRILLING u ppl...they all just know engineering sumhow 😃 ....
we've invited more seniors to help u ppl out and u can xpect many of them on pagal starting monday...so make a list of all ur qs!!!

congrats!!! have you ever seen the mandatory disclosure that AICTE has made mandatory to be disclosed on IMT's site?u will never find it there........i don't know about others...if u go by ranking then we were ahead of IMT AND IMI both last year....we still are ahead of IMI this year.......regarding the salary thing the least last year at IMT was 3 lakhs...so it doesn't mean everyone gets the gold.......regarding FORE the best part with our placement is that our mean salary is also very high..means most of the guys get around the avg.....initially ur joining will be as a MT from wherever you pass out then after a year you are confirmed...

Are we going to get any written communication for the gdpi frm the institute ??

and as told by the seniors so they dont ask for a resume only the necessary docs are reqd sadly it wld have been great help to me by the resume anyways, i ll have to handle it thru ??

This is my first post on PG....I've got my first call of the year in the form of FORE....I have few doubts that i'd like to clear out. I have got a call for 1st of March 1:30 PM so my question is, will the GD and PI will be on the same date or PI will be conducted later? And do I have to bring all the certificates (including the ones which depict my co-curricular activities)???

My suggestion for other students who have received calls from FORE is that they can give the Date n time n venue for their GD/PIs so that we can know each other beforehand which can help us on the D-Day.

CAT - overall 95.8 , DI-91,EU-92,Quant-93 NO WORK-EX
BE-70% 😞 (appearing), 12th - 80%, 10th - 77%

try calling up admissions office for details becos some ppl have ben informed about the venue date and time along with the result....if uv filled for a center outside delhi then might be u r notified later as the college might be looking forward to available venues in the cities..

yes, obviously chandan.....ull be getting your call letters within a week... and do carry ur resume with u just for the sake of it.....usually they dont ask but its not a rule!!!

yes...ur PI is conducted right after your GD...and thats how its is not only in FORE but in all the other colleges unless xplicitly specified.... u need to carry all ur certificates including xtra curric(just in case they ask for it).....original documents of marksheets etc. have to be carried.....
your call letter will be specifying a list of all the documents to be carried so dont worry..

hey chandan..........congratulations on your call.....this is nilay.....as indresh already told u about the written communication.....i would just like to add that yes u need to carry your resume at GD/PI ....usually its not asked for but it is a good thing to carry, plus if you have a photocopy of the form you sent to FORE try to make yourself ready for the PI moreover in coherence to the things that you filled up in that form....it would help you a lot in your interviews.......

Thanks Nilay for your offer. Well, btw from which collg did u complete your BE? I'm doin my BE from LNCT,Bhopal and hope to get an admission into FORE. Does FORE prefer students havin engg background coz i'm counting on my engg background. And do the panelists ask too much from engg subjects or do they ask questions just from my fav subjects(in BE)??

hey SIDGO....i've done my Mech. Engg. from OIST,
to start of wid.....yes colleges do have a special corner for engineers...but they also like to have a diversified profile for the batch so students from all streams are selected...although engineers do have a very thin edge....for your interviews get well prepared with all your core subjects...it would hep if u tell your branch too....also prepare your major project well and subjects related to it....have 2-3 subjects as your strong points....the panelists would ask you about your engg. in about 35% of your interview....rest would be the general preparation for your MBA iterviews.....so chill dude and just be yourself....u'll crack it
