i wud suggest FORE as we have s\w firms on campus for placements...they also offer laterals so u'll have an upper hand

Ya i think i will call them up by saurday....in ne case...if u have time...culd u just ask them wethr they send ne confirmation thru mail or thru post(say like a prospectus)...

One suggestion to the seniors...Plzz ask the college authorities tocome up with a better website..I think they can defintely do that..have heard loads of good things about the college but evrytime i check the website it really puts off all the zeal.these little aspects does matter to an extent.

thanx for d suggestion dude...bt to tell u really don't u think dat FORE has d capacity to build up some fancy website?sure it does bt it has't been done...daer is a reason for dat...u may go to any XYZ colleges website (which u hv not even heard of before) and find dat d website is fabulous but d college is not....so i think ur going to b a manager in 2 years ..don't link a website to an organization's repute(i m nt talking about only institutes) otherwise u may be in for some really good surprises:satisfie:
hey ppl read an ad in the ims monthly mag and in it fore's ad says last date for submission for app is 5th of dec but the website mentions last date is nov 17th..kindly tell me whats the actual last date..

hey buddy....sorry that u have'nt been replied yet...we've been busy with loads of activities goin on campus and hence the delay..the answer to ur query will be up max. by 5 today...
the last date for submission of forms is 17th nov as of now....if there r any extensions on a later date they will b put up on the website!!so as of now gear up and finish the formalities on time!!

in the acad qualifications tab, in secondary(1st row) u have to mention subject/stream.....nw as secondary was school(10th standard) wat shud i write in it??? or shud i leave it blank?? plz plz help as i have to send the form max by tomm...
hey buddy....actually some schools give u an option to choose ur stream in class 9th itself and hence that field is provided....however if uv had all subjects in class 10th as mostly with others, u can simply write 'maths & science' or 'all subjects' if u not comfortable with that...
the purpose of that column is to check ur background at a glance and wont b much of a hassle that ur form gets rejected!!some people even put a '-' out there as they dont hv a specific stream in 10th...
ask ur frnds arnd(who hv filled up the form, or ur coaching institute if any) and fill it up man....my suggestion...safest bet is 'maths and science'....
wud hv told u wut i filled last year but dont remember it now ;)...i think i put 'all subjects'...

What were the cutoffs for FORE last year;do they have sec. cutoffs?
Also how was the placement last year in terms of no: of students placed and which companies came to campus.
exact cut-offs for last year were not told however in my batch havent cum across ne1 with lower than 85%ile....this year we expect it to go much higher with increasing number of aspirants....
moreover,there are no sectional cut-offs for FORE as of now,but a decent score in all sections does make a difference in ur final selection...
placements have been 100% at FORE as of last year records and there's no doubt about that....once u in FORE,placements is not a thing u need to worry about....
about the participating companies, theres a huge list of them and u can have a look at them at the FORE website FORE > FORE School Of Management
i knw this is prob the silliest doubt u wud ever encounter....
bt CAT reqd u to send the completed forms only via speed-post.:wow:..so is a courier accepted by FORE??? (coz i hv already sent it by first flight courier.)
also is there any way to check if FORE has received our application? am kinda worried......online applications r the best in any case...
wat chance do u suggest i hv of gettin into fore? here's some info:
gettin 92%ile+ consistently across all simcats...(qa screwed.....score nvr goes abv 4-5)
70-80%ile in AIMCATS...(qa story continues....) :neutral:
10th: 76.3%
12th: 75%
grad yr 1: 72.5%
grad yr 2: 68% (consistent fall..) :wow:
the only extra curric activity i can rem is tht i was the IT head of my coll event nd nxt yr i volunteered for a similar thing...(in short extra currics suck..)
am a fresher with no wrk ex......
also it wud b useful if u cud shed some light on the no. of seats avail for gen quota, and goin by the abv profile which othr univ shud i apply to...
dude no probs as far as ur scores r concerned....provided u get the score in cat too which i wish u all the best for!!!
am a fresher too with similar kind of marks in 10th and 12...grad was 78% (for 2 yrs tho)till the time of admission..
hwever had 93 in CAT plus a decent GD/PI, so made it in....
seats for general quota 150 minus (the various reservation quotas)...
to confirm about the receipt of ur form u can try callin the admission office in a couple of days....courier shud not be a problem until they xplicitly said not to(which i doubt they did)..
as about other colleges are concerned thats ur pik man!!!believe in urself, and the world is urs 😃
