12th: 95.3%
Grad: 87.37%
Working from 2 1/2 yrs at Oracle.
Have given CAT this time with scores as per the current keys:
QA - 43
DI - 27 :(
VA - 18/23 😞 😞 :(
OA - 88/93
Do you see any chance of me getting a call from FORE?
I've applied for FORE today itself, thanks to the dates being extended. :)
Also, what do you suggest? Is FORE among the best B-schools in the country in terms of providing quality education and overall development?
I'm only looking at education quantity and not placements. I'm mainly interested in Finance spec. How is the pedagogy there?

Hi Puys
I find it strange that first these B schools put their application deadlines before 15th November 2008.
Now they have extended the deadlines.
I am referring to B Schools like FORE and LBSIM etc.
Isn't it a complete joke of the system. Why have they done this circus act.
If someone wants to get back his/her money then they should also be allowed to have their money back since the deadlines have been extended.
Only those genuinely interested in joining these B schools have filled their forms before 15th and now they have been back stabbed.:new_bat_angel:
What is the reason that B schools will have such ulterior motives to earn money from students appearing in CAT exam.
They could have kept their dates after cat exam itself to allow everyone to take a decision.:new_scatter:
Don't you think its a mockery of the student and his/her money.
Can you trust any of the indian b schools like them. :snipersm:

i totally agree with u !! what education wil these money makers impart by such means !! its not just abt mba to me its abt adhering to some values as well which i really miss in todays world. deception everywhr. whr is this world heading??:-x

i think u ve a very good chance of getting call from fore(ib)
i donno exactly what %ile the coaching insts are predicting for u but anythng above 87 is safe for ib i guess

this yr till now i dont know whethr no of seats r gona incrsd or not

i think time is reliable, at least last year they predicted it correctly

fee structure is 6 lakhs for two years( including reading material n no hidden cost)
as far as placement is concerned i can only tell u one thing that last yrs highest pckge of 26 lakhs was bagged by a fresher
if anyone has any query regarding sectional cut offs he or she can go to the fore website and check the mandatory disclosure section
it is written there clearly n is an official document
so i think it will help them

see as far as i know spjain gives call based on profile not solely on CAT scores
i know one of my friend got call from spj last yr with 90%ile
so..........
as far as FORE is concerned, u can definitely expect a call from FORE-ib
m not very sure abt pgdm as last yrs cut off was 90.2 n this yr it may rise,but u know it may vary

I am Pradip fm Rajkot(Gujarat).
I am in last year of Engineering.
I had given CAT this year.and now i am confused that of which college form should i fii up.
I got 82% in 10 std.
I got 78% in 12 std.
My BE aggregate percentage is 69%.
In CAT
I am getting
47 in Qua
42 in DI
07 in Eng as per CL & TIME analysis
12 in Eng as per IMS & career forum analysis
And Expected Percentiles
94.5 as per IMS
95 as per Career forum
94.44 as per TIME
90 as per CL
92 as per Test Funda
But my eng section persentile is only 37-47.
Can i get call from FORE school of management?
Is there any sectional cutoff?
