Preference is -2 year program with Finance Specialization. I am going to write GMAT and TOEFL in December 2nd Week. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know that most of the consultants prefer students who wants to apply in US Top B Schools, But as I have basic profile and financial restriction So I need to prefer these schools only.
If anybody can help me with application process that would be great, Target is to apply by 1st week of December and my budget for consulting is around 20000 Rs it may include (4-5 B Schools).
POST MBA GOALS - Difficult to finalize but mostly would like to stay and work in academics (Administration).
I am interested in applying to the PGPM programme of "Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM), Chennai". I would be having a total working experience of about 44 months as of March-2014.
I have given GMAT and scored 530 and CMAT (Sep-2013) and scored 179 marks. Can you guide me of my chances for GLIM.

1) I need to go for my MBA this year only. So plz suggest if MiM would suit my profile? Which are the best B-Schools for Indians abroad for MiM having good ROI and better placements? 2) Which B-schools in India can I target through GMAT score? (other than ISB, SP Jain)
I would like to do MBA in a foreign country, but don't want to spend a large amount as fee.
So up to how many percentage shall I get fee reduction according to my GMAT score? I have herd that there is 100% fee reduction in Germany according to the score. Is it true? Should I have to pay a considerable amount as fee even if they give me a scholarship in the US?
Well returning back to PG after three years. Well on cross roads with regards to making an important career decision.
To brief on my current profile. I have a total work ex of 3 years with nearly 2 years at Citi in the Investment banking division - Captive KPO as an analyst. Have an MBA (Finance) and a B.E degree.
Now aspiring to break the back-end barrier and enter into the front end investment banking.
One of the thoughts that come to my mind was pursuing an MS from US or Canada into some Investment Banking courses if any and then trying for a break there into the Bulge Bracket IB players.
I need some advise/opinions if this sounds a good move or there is some better alternative available.
I've a few queries that I'd like your counselling on. Here's my profile :
X - 94 %, XII - 97 %, B.E from Anna University, Chennai - 77.1 %, GMAT - yet to give.
Work-ex - Quality Assurance Engineer at Amazon.com for 1 year and 5 months. ( still working )
Extras - Guitar player, Secretary in Toastmasters International Club, Co-partner of a tee shirt printing business.
I'm in a fix, right now. I just got to know about thevarious MiM programs offered by top b-schools like IE, HEC, ESSEC etc. And I also read that there are some b-schools who do not have the "2 year work-ex" requirement. Considering I have a ~1.5 year work-ex, what is the best way to go about my career ? I'd really want to do an MBA after working for 3-4 years, but Idon't want to do away my years in a software IT role, even though I work in a big brand (Amazon). In short, I want to change my career soon.
So, MiM is a best bet for me ? Should I go ahead write my GMAT and apply for the MiM courses ? How is that different from the regular MBA ? Placement wise and profile wise ?
Also, are there any good b-schools which will take me in for the MBA program, even though I don't meet the "2 year work-ex" bar ?
I'd really appreciate it, if you guys could counsel me on this and bring my story to a good conclusion.
