In 2014 I got 94.38 percentile in CAT, but I am not joining IMT G Finance/ IMI Delhi (B &Fs) because I am not much interested in Finance and also considering the ROI. I am still awaiting the results of IIT Kanpur, IIT KGP MHRM and IIM Ranchi.
I am planning to take GMAT this year within 2 months:
My profile:
X: 75%, XII: 80.57% and BE 74.05% (Production Engineering)
Work Experience: till date 46 months (2 years in Operations and 2 years in SAP PP module)
Current Salary: 7.2 LPA
My preferences for specialization in MBA is: 1. HR, 2. Operations.
Kindly prescribe some international B-schools keeping in my preference and my profile and considering a GMAT score between 680-750, where I can take full/maximum scholarship based admission.
First of all thanks a lot for giving really good advice to guys.
I am currently working as a System Analyst with mid size IT firm having total experience of 3.7 Yrs (Started working Sep 2011). Having travelled extensive to African countries like SA (Johannesburg) and Ghana (Accra) and worked with top telecom and insurance clients.
Academics:
10th: 61% (2004)
12th: 60% (2007)
B.Tech: 7.14 CGPA (2011)
I want to appear for GMAT and TOEFL and score good to get admission in USA, UK, Canada etc in coming March 2016. By the time I would have 4.5 Yrs of experience.
To be honest looking at my academics I am sure that I would not get admission in top colleges but still I want to appear for test and get admission in better college where my work experience could play major role in my application.
Could you please suggest some strategy for preparation, GMAT score and which type of colleges I should target? Also could I able to get scholarship or not?
Please revert for clarification or more information.

Will work in a public sector bank for 2-3 years from now and the target is ISB 2017 OR 2018 with total work ex of around 3-3.5 years ( 6 months work ex in a private start-up already)
Please evaluate the profile and Suggeste wud it be suitable for ISB?
if a particular course takes both gre and gmat and I apply thru gre, will i be gvn less pref as cmpared to sm1 who has a good gmat socre? how does this work?
I did well on my CAT 2014 and other exams. I am still waiting for some of the results. But in all probability i would be pursuing my mba from one of the top 10 colleges in india.
However, I wish to do a 1 year advanced mgmt course from 1 of the reputed B schools in the US after completing my 2 year PGDM/MBA from India.
I have 20 months of workex and plan on working for 1.5 years after my mba before filling applications for the advanced/ accelerated course.
My question is whether a total of 3 years workex and a prior MBA degree(with good acads in 10th,12th and undergrad) be sufficient for getting into 1 of the top 5 progs.
What kind of a gmat score should i be targeting? Which schools are good when it comes to advance mgmnt progs. How should i go about it?
Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to your response.
1) What usually is the gap between two consecutive GMAT exams, is there any such GMAT calender which has GMAT dates, and a date out of those needs to be selected? How many GMATs are there in a month usually?
2) In colleges in USA, and in Europe. What are the general starting dates of courses. Like in India we have course commencement in August in most universities. What is the case in USA and Europe, and how long before the course commencement should I be applying for the universities. I want to know this for both MIM and MBA
I appeared for GMAT week back and got a score of 650. I would like to know if i appear for GMAT again and in worst case score less than 650 and decide to cancel my score. Will by existing score of 650 will be valid for admission?
hello fiends.. i want to do mba..but my academics r very low..but i know i have a potential to prepare very well for entrance exam.. nd my parents cant afford mba fess.. so, please friends suggest me for my future..where i should go??
Hi. I am Siddharth Dhariwal from Kolkata. I am planning to apply for an international MBA next year, so want to start early. My target schools are Top-20 US B-Schools + Top-5 in Europe + Top-3 in Asia. With that in mind, I appeared for GMAT and scored a decent 750 (V40 Q51 AWA 5 IR 8). Once I started reading up, I got to know from leading gmat websites like poetsandquants etc that (i) US B-Schools don't usually prefer candidates in their early 30s (I will be 30 when I join, 31/32 when I passout, so I totally fall in this category) and (ii) the Indian Male IT professional is the most over-represented population in the applicant pool & that makes us undesirable. A consultant from admitme even went to the extent of telling me that I have no chance whatsoever to crack my target schools. That has left me demotivated & confused on what to do in the road ahead. Could really use from experienced advice.
My profile reads something like this-
ICSE- 92% ISC- 91.25% B.Tech in Electronics & Communication - 81.3% M.Tech in IT - 85% (one of the toppers) Work Ex- 45 months, currently working Tata Consultancy Services as a Software Engineer ECs- normal, nothing jaw-dropping.
Now I would really like a preliminary holistic analysis from the experts on where my profile stands in their esteemed estimate & whether such a profile can arrest the attention of ANY Adcom from my target schools. Going ahead will require an expenditure of one lakh atleast. So can really use an honest comprehensive analysis.
I am currently working as a Software Engineer for a company here in Atlanta from past two years. I have a M.s in Computer Science degree from B graded university in U.S. Now, I want to return to India to get an MBA (planning to take GMAT in next 2-3 months). So, I would like to seek advise from the consultants on which of the below should I be targeting.

Confused between Mim and MBA and till 2016 will have two years of work ex? Can anyone please suggest on how to proceed with given profile...
I am an MBA aspirant, interested in MBA-Finance. I currently have a GMAT score of 680 but retaking it with the hopes of reaching the 730 mark. Here goes my profile:
Xth : 86.0%
XIIth : 95.0%
B.Com(H) from SRCC, Delhi University : 70.3%
Overall decent ECAs. No volunteering experience though!
by Fall 2016 (when I hope to start my MBA), I would be completing 4 years of work ex in BlackRock (Asset Management) - working for a US Federal client.
I am targeting only US B-Schools, namely Darden (Virginia), Anderson (UCLA), Kellogg (Northwestern University), Kenan-Flagler (UNC), Ross (Michigan) and Johnson (Cornell).
Can someone please evaluate my profile, keeping these schools in mind?
