Respected Sir,The age limit for Combined Graduate Level Exam, which is conducted by SSC is only 27 years as compare to other examinations like UPSC civil service Exam for which it is 32 years. Even the age limit for Railway Exam is 33 years, whereas for IBPS PO (Banking Services) it is 30 years. Those who belongs to the General category has to suffer a lot. We take 3-4 years to become a graduate. After being a graduate, there are only few attempts left for General Category candidates to appear for CGL exams considering 1 to 2 years of preparation for the exam. Also the expert committee for recruitments to group B non- gazetted posts recommended age limit to be fixed at 30years back in 2006 itself. The matter is in DOPT for last many years buts no progress has been made so far. If age limit is increased to 32 years for CGL exam, then youth of the nation will have 5 additional chances who otherwise are jobless considering the limited chances one gets till the current age limit of 27 years. Its very imperative and reasonable issue. We request you to look into this and change the age limit for CGL exams from 27 years to 30 years with an umbrella notification for all departments and ministries, so that the youth of the nation can have more chance to get a government job and serve the nation. Thanks Govt. Job Aspirants. Dear friends, All the major exams have the age limit up to 30 years for the GENERAL category candidates. It is injustice done by SSC for us to put it as only 27 years. we have filed the case in CAT about this issue. we are going to file it in the HIGH COURT tomorrow(as directed by CAT). we have hired one of the best lawyers available for this. we are hopeful of getting a positive news as soon as possible. Please like and support this Page, This is the time we can do it for Ssc cgl age relaxation up to 30 years. https://m.facebook.com/groups/360405504167505?multi_permalinks=485614774979910&_rdr Meanwhile, kindly copy n paste the matter given below in the pubic grievance portal http://pgportal.gov.in/ . Try to file as many grievances as possible. step-1 lodge the grievance under "personnel and training (department) step-2 select "CGL exams related issues" in the grievance cateory. Then copy n paste the matter below. Dear Sir Subject-Misleading remarks by Department of Personnel and Training on Upper Age-Limit 30 years matter With reference to complaint number DOPAT/E/2015/02184 the Department of Personnel and Training has taken action on 24.02.2016 and provided us with the details that "As per the OM of DOPT dated 31.12.2010 regarding framing and amendment of Recruitment Rules for various Central Government Civilian posts, the upper age limit for posts carrying grade pays of Rs 4200/-,Rs 4600/- and Rs 4800/- is 30 years. However, the Recruitment Rules pertaining to certain posts namely (1) Assistants in CVC,IB,Ministry of Railways,Ministry of External Affairs,Armed Forces Headquarters (2) Inspector of Income-Tax,Central Excise,Central Bureau of Narcotics,Preventive Officer,Examiner,(3) Inspector of Post and (4)Divisional Accountant in CAG for which recruitment is made through Combined Graduate Level Examination by SSC continue to reflect the upper age limit as 27 years. In this regard the Department of Personnel and Training has taken up the matter with concerned Ministry/Departments for amending the upper age limit in the Recruitment Rules from 27 years to 30 years.Hence the grievance application is to be replied by the (1) CVC,(2) Ministry of Home Affairs,(3)Ministry of Railways,(4)Ministry of Defence,(5)Ministry of Finance,(6) Department of Posts,(7)Ministry of External Affairs. Interestingly,Ministry of External Affairs in its another complaint Registration Number MEAPD/E/2016/00612 replied as " does not pertain." Here it is necessary to mention that the Department of Personnel and Training claims that the grievance is to be replied by the Ministry of External Affairs whereas the Ministry of External Affairs replies that the matter does not pertain with this organization. The complainants seek their grievances will be addressed properly but the declations made by the above two organizations do not resolve the issue of upper age limit. As we know that the Department of Personnel and Training issues guidelines on Recruitment Rules and therefore we request you to resolve this issue immediately and increase the upper age limit to 30 years for the posts mentioned above. Thanking you sir Government Job Aspirant.
