International School Of Business & Media (ISB&M), Pune - Nande Campus, invites participation to the first ever Independence Day Debate, hosted at our college. The event is brought to you by the Literary Society at ISB&M, Pune.
Independece day hosts an emotion and varied feeling of national integration and on an auspicious day like this, it is important to have opinions, regardless of subject, and hence the idea to host a debate conpetition, inviting opinions and arguments both in favor and against the following subject/motion of the debate :-
"Arnab Goswami is the Donald Trump of Indian media".
ISB&M invites participation limited to the following rules :-
- Each College requires to send one team consisting of 2 members - one speaking for the motion and another speaking against the motion, mentioned above.
- The language for communication during the debate will be English only.
- Each participant will be asked to present his views and opinions on a timeline of 6 minutes and plus 1 minute to address objections from the opposition team.
- Once every speaker has completed his speech, each team will choose a leader, post which, the two leaders will be put through a 4 minute round of interjection, in order to decide the fate of the motion above.
- Please note that the event will be judged by neutral judges who are industry experts in the domain of media and marketing.
- The event will also host a neutral speaker, who shall be moderating the debate.
- The debate is scheduled to start at 11:30 AM on the occassion of the Independence Day on 15th August 2016.
