I some how cant digest the fact that BIM doesnt put up the short listed candidates list ... are we in the STONE age ???????
I beleive that we can judge a lot about a college in the way it goes about its admission procedures. I am not sure but i guess in the BIM form there was no place where we could mention our preferred interview location. So i guess shortlisted candidates will get letter than they choose a location post a letter back all this snail mails in the age of INTERNET... common you'll must be kidding...

hi friend,regarding the infrastructure facilities in Bim we have internet connection in our rooms besides a 24hr computer lab.We also hace video conferencing facility.in hostel, u hav flood lit playground and reading roomw. you will be well equipped with enough facilities to do a high profile management degree.and for the question bout malls, trichy doesnt hav any......anyways you will not have time to go around much.there beautiful temples and nice restaurants in trichy.Regarding banks we have sbi bank/Atm inside BhEL complex and just outside u have many banks to open ur account wth

if I were u i wont be sooo critical of BIM cos i believe that IITMadras which is probably India's and one of the world's finest center for comp sci... and has LAN facilities that are lets say worldclass wont release its shortlisted candidates aleast shortly on the web.. it will e-mail them followed by snail mail... so if IITM can do it gimme one good reason why BIM shouldnt... also office wallas at IITB are the rudest and the entire admission process and registering for JMET online was done in an amateur way... would it be fair to say that IITB is not upto the mark??? Yeah... stuff like these do get under our skin... but a would-be manager should know more than that I guess...

Common dude ... your comparing this bad example with some other examples of mis management ... if this is the way u look at it than the list could go on and on and on.....
For a thing like scheduling interviews you dont need to be a super duper manager when each and every collegue gives you a choice of interview location than why not BIM ??
Now spare a thot at this ..yesterday i posted a loop hole in TAPMI admission process (u can read the post on the TAPMI link) and today morning i see a totally unformal mail askin me to send a passport picture no details of which address etc... etc.... and just 2 days back i posted the confirmation for TAPMI GD/PI and now i again got to courier them a passport photo just a photo can u beleive it ....

It's very unethical for an institute to not to put the list on the webpage,you can't expect people with single calls to be as prepared as the ones with multiple calls.....therefore everyone should know of his/her status for admission......but I'd have to appreciate BIM this year for not opening the sales of forms post XAT,though there are some fallbacks but still "ethic"is paramount.....

:grab:its good to see lots many coming this year....not only queries but also suggestions....regarding the infrastructure its good....... good library . net connection in ur room , 24 hour open computer centre , well furnished class ,and overall healthy atmosphere ..........it will be a real test of character coming to bim ....its different....calls will be shorltly declared.....guys with more than 90% le can xpect..work ex will be an aded advantage........

i am sorry i will not be able to answer your questions as the information you r asking is not known to anyone other than admissions department and is strictly confidential.(The number of seats forMBA course is 120 also given in admission form if u have gone thru it carefully)
however the shortlist for GD/PI will be out shortly and probably the next round will be held somewhere in march.Looking at the number of applications received this time we think a higher number of candidates would be shortlisted this time.Also the list of the candidates shortlisted will be put on the BIM website along with the CUT offs.So please reamin patient till that time and best of luck.

Thanx prcom_bim for the clarification......i have a question regarding the G.D/p.i centres...traditionally are the g.d/p.i held across the metros or are the confined to Chennai,Trichy etc....hope someone answers it coz i have a lot of explanations to give to my college authorities for to be missed lectures if i have to travel to chennai............
New Expalnation for Theory of Relativity: When u keep on gazing at the already recieved call letters/email/website list even for an hour it just feels like minute....but when u look at IMT/BIM/GIM/rest of undeclared shortlist colleges even for a minute it feels like an hour!!!

regarding ur query on centers for GD/PI this year the normal practice followed here in BIM is tht the centers are normally decided upon the number of application rec frm the cities.interviews will be held in Chennai and Trichy and depending on the applications rec authorities might decide to keep them in the other metros.This would be known once the results are out and call letters are sent to sucessful candidates.
regarding the our institute we r among the best in India and our past records speaks for tht.recently we won the IIM-A alumni quiz competition in Chennai and also entered the finals of Tata crucible 06 by winning the regional round

its been so long ... the results should have been out the earlier the better it is to plan the schedule got GIM gd on 3rd in Goa than KJSOM on 11th in mumbai TAPMI on 16th in Blore. god knows where and when will BIM schedule the GD/PI just hoping tht they atleast put the list up on their site with the date and location.
