arun sharma + piersen publication should be a gud combo for VA.. though there is nthing like all-encompassing unfortunately!


for pierson publication are you referring to "Verbal Ability for the CAT by Sujit Kumar" or is there any other VA book from pierson...

1. hi can anyone suggest me which test series to join . I m already giving Aimcats are they suffecient or i should go for one more test series actually my results are bad when it comes to give exams online so to cope up which test series should i join...

I'll suggest Arun Sharma(clear and precise)......Quantum CAT is just way too much.....it has lots and lots of theory and Q

You may search Google or PM any experienced puy for TG's ebook on Geometry. It's a copyrighted book and as such sharing of such material is not allowed at PG.

Hiii Folks!!!

Finally got an apt thread to post a daunting question...
I am starting the preparation (lol) for the very first time in my life,
and also cannot join any classes as of now/rather do not want to. But i have finally decided that an MBA ,only can change my Life!!!

Hence would like fellow puys to chip there valuable input into selection of books for the horrendous sections...specifially QA-DI-VA

NOTE:
a) I cannot join classes because my work will seldom allow dat.

b) Consider me a beginner and new to OnlineCAT question pattern/format , though after Pagalguyinng, have gained much knowledge regarding the pattern n stuff.

c) Also m not a die-hard IIM aspirant, IIFT-SNAP-FMS-TISS are Holy places too.


Please, fellow aspirants and immortals(MBA joined) suggest me a good method to atleast reach the target of clearing the written for few big names..

Feel free to suggest any ideas or redirect to any thread possible.

myself Ankit, a CAT-2011 aspirant ....well, this would be my 3rd attempt of CAT..my past relationship with CAT is

CAT-2009== 88%ile (messed in VA, only 49%ile)
CAT-2010== 92%ile (little improvement, messed in VA again, this tym 70%ile)

Friends, i m in dire need of help and suggestions how to take my preparation to next level

Quant== i had solved the entire Arun Sharma book during my past years of preparation...this years i m going with ARIHANT's Quantam CAT...Kindly suggest techniques/Books to sharpen my skills

Verbal ==solving RC and working on grammer and vocabulary..thinking of TIME VA book (TRISHNA) to buy....plzzzz suggest books on VA....

LR/DI ==remained my forte in my past attempts of CAT...got 99%ile in CAT2009 and 96%ile in CAT 2010.....have not started preparation of LR/DI for CAT 2011 till now, becoz cant decide from where to start....plzz suggest books on LR/DI


failure in my past attempts of CAT has frustrated me a little...i m totally confused on the perfect way to prepare for CAT this tym....some HELP frm PG guys would be very nice....

Perfectly said... Quantum cat has too much stuff..though i have both and use quantum for number system and geom basics... But get Arun sharma
and arihant cat 10 years..

I just heard abt pearson its gud...but Arun sharma is nice too. Compare both the books n then decide. In fact for RC's i'l recommend u Arun Sharma. U can download many notes n books which can help u in sentence correction...do search on net u'l get those materials.

For QA there is no better material than Arun Sharma...try to finish that n then later if u feel u can buy other materials. First concentrate on ARun sharma n ya buy 3rd edition ..i guess tats the latest 1.
