QUANTS: 1.arun sharma 2.Trishna's book by TIME DI: 1.arun sharma has a book for DI as well with lots of exercises..... GK: 1.try reading the newspapaers. i know thats not easy .... 2.TIME AND IMS have their respective magazines with about 100 GK questions each ,onth GK proves helpful only for exams like IIFT,SNAP and MAT .......but GK is a scoring area where one can boost speed too... ok all the best try doing the material of TIME and IMS... i might join u guys in the prep if i dont convert.... i have shared what i knew.... we can start a thread for shortcuts too. i have a list of 60-70 shortcuts .. i can post them if needed karthik

Arun Sharma is good if you are through with the basics.Nishit Sinha is a good but max people follow Arun Sharma. If you want theory too,go for Sarvesh Verma.
@0Ajax0 All three are good but there is some difference between the same -

1) Arun Sharma is the most in sync with the type of questions that come in CAT or have been coming in CAT. From personal experience, I would say that you will find an almost similar type of questions in the exam too.

2) Nishit Sinha - It has questions but they are different than the normal breed of questions. Good if you wish to leave the stereotype domain and do something different in preparation. Basically the variety of questions is much broader than the former choice.

3) This book is boring - Its good if you are starting from scratch but else, there is little good if you already have the basic concepts clear.

My personal pick - Has to Arun Sharma. Once you finish the book, revise it again, the same book. Do that at least 3 times !! You will consider this asinine but its very very effective strategy.
@0Ajax0 aruns sharma latest book has solutions nd keys..so close ur eyes nd go for it..it is the best bet

ncert which std books to go for?? only 7th nd 8th wud do?

hey.. can any1 please help me.. tell me which is the best book/magazine to prepare for General Awareness for IIFT and other xams!? I m hoping to buy some monthly editions so please help me............

@vrij No, you need to do at least till the 10nth standard.
