As its raining , if u go to Avadi , dont wait for College bus ..just take a auto from Avadi to Veltech ..

Hi puys, i took cat on 20 th oct in Vel tech avadi..it went smooth inside the prometric centre...xcept the distance ve ve to travel for reaching the collg. everythig is fine....

I took my CAT on Oct 15th(Monday) at 3.30 pm at Vel Tech.
Take the train to Avadi. Its faster and you can avoid the Chennai dust which would really drain you out. Considering the fact that it is raining now, the train looks to be an even safer option holding in mind the traffic jams.
Once at Avadi, take an auto to the institute. Waiting for buses and getting onto wrong ones are not the kind of start you want to a test center. They charge you 120 bucks.
There are no directions once at the test center. Just go straight from the gates until you see a CAT banner near the last building next to a stage. The test is taken on the 2nd floor with a waiting room on the same floor where your belongings can be kept.
You can have a meal at the canteen near the first building of the college. They charge you 42 bucks. South Indian. Decent.
The guard would come and call everyone in the waiting room by around 1.45 or so after which the regular Prometric Check-Ins take place. Once the exam is over, take an auto from the gates to Avadi. This time he would charge you 150 because buses are less frequent and it's getting pretty late. Once back at Avadi, trains should get you home, in my case, Thiruvanmiyur.

Which is your strong section ? I mean you are good at verbal or quants ?
@leo12all Do yourself a favour buddy and start by 10 from Kasthuribhai Nagar MRTS. Always be calm on ur test day. Be there before time. Would never do harm.
